What brings you joy outside of being a mother and having a child.

If you don't have one....what are things you are exploring.

I've been really getting into fashion and style. Trying to find mine and feel better about life. I have also been really interested in investigating space.

Like...how space can make me feel...what elements in space make me feel calm or joyful or whatever.

Also I have been getting more into camping and entertaining in the outdoors...like planning group trips and throwing parties Al Fresco down by the beach.

I feel so overwhelmed time wise that nothing is enjoyable anymore.

But generally, I love CrossFit, it is such a great feeling.

I would love to do some gardening, like grow some veggies and herbs. I enjoy it most when I get food food out of it

I used to love reading, especially mysteries

I have been loom knitting and doing some basic sewing.
I've started some yard maintenance so I can start a garden.

I love to read, and try to as much as I can now.

I used to coach cheerleading a few years ago. I would love to do it again, but the schedule is so demanding that I don't have time for it.

Courtniko, I love my window herb boxes! We have an apartment with a little deck with not much sun so we can really only do herbs and onions.

I have a box of mint, a box of oregano, a box of thyme and a box of sage. I also have a giant potted Rosemary and I will have a potted Basil. I eat so much healthier when I have fresh herbs to use!

I love photography. I would like to upgrade my camera and take some more classes, maybe some editing ones too.

I don't have many hobbies right now. I more have a list of things I want to be my hobbies, should I ever have any time or initiative to make it happen.

Reading (I used to be a huge book worm, but time...)
Crocheting (I can do it. I want to actually complete a poject)
Sewing (DH bought me a machine, I need to sign up for a class)
Writing - Be blog type or creative, I used to love to write, but I get in my own head about it.
Gardening - I want to give it a try and contemplate it every year
Cooking - I love trying new recipes, but I am lazy and DH is too picky to make it fun.

I play violin for my church as well as in a small ensemble. It makes me happy.

I also started selling LuLaRoe so that's a new hobby of mine.

I love to garden but the people who owned our house before us were very into rocks and boulders and that is all that is in the garden beds around the house... have to clear those out first.

I love running/exercising. I used to go to the gym 5-6 days a week and take classes. I started working out at home and MH got a treadmill, so I found a way to get my fix.

Yarn works. I have a huge yarn stash and I used to crochet and knit all the things. I haven't found time to pick this hobby up yet.

MH just bought me a new sewing machine with embroidery. I can not wait to bust it out of the box. I have an IKEA sewing machine, but it can't handle some fabrics.

Napping is my favorite pastime lately

I do knit but it's been a while since LO takes up so much of my time.

I cook and bake but that's also a necessity- I just happen to enjoy it.

I love to sew, read, hike, run, take yoga, drink beers on a restaurant patio with my girlfriends while eating chips and dip.

Those who shall not be named keep me from much time for this, but I work it all in at some point (even if its only a few times a year) when I can!

My current hobby is revamping some of my furniture. More specifically, with chalk paint. I'm excited to change up the look and style of some of my long time furniture.

Once the weather stays warm, I hope to get into walking and playing some backyard soccer again. And basic gardening.

I'm intrigued. Do you mean like the space around you? Like energy or physical things?

That's really cool!  Is chalk paint hard to work with?  I've had a few things I've wanted to try but then I chicken out and don't do it.

I'm really into makeup right now. I have been sucked into the world of YouTube videos on how to's, best products, and just general skin care. My wallet does not like this fun new hobby.

I love baking. Mostly cookies and brownies but I find it soothing.

I also love doing Zumba. Only at home on the WiiU though. I'm too embarrassed to go to an actual class.

More physical....but I guess the energy is what I am responding to.

I love to go for really long walks. It's like therapy for me. I clear my mind and enjoy the fresh air. I also love to run, but I hate doing it with the stroller.

For the longest time, I took a step class every Saturday and it was great "me time." Over the past few months, I've just been so busy with medical stuff, throwing showers for people, weddings, life, etc. that I haven't been able to get there every week. I miss it!

Binge watching a show is another favorite pastime.

Thanks for starting this thread...it was a huge eye opener for me. I am with my kid too much. With the weather getting warmer, hopefully I can squeeze in some runs while he has nursery school a few hours a week.

I enjoy reading. I used to crochet and horseback ride. The crocheting is hard as I get so much help with the yarn these days. The horseback riding will require purchasing a new horse. Mine is 34 this year and has earned his retirement.

This sounds soothing just reading it! I can totally see where you're coming from. It's amazing how patterns, pieces of furniture, decor, art and color schemes can affect your mood.

That's really cool!  Is chalk paint hard to work with?  I've had a few things I've wanted to try but then I chicken out and don't do it. 

What do you usually paint with? Usually when I try out new paints/stains/brushes/etc it can be different, but I eventually catch on to it. You could always test on something small like a frame or something so you can see how if feels before starting a big project. My projects usually get better with practice.

Yes! Even though I don't wear much of it, I like trying out new colors and brands of what I do wear.

I am realizing that I have lost some of my identity in the last 19 months.

What I enjoy doing:
Home decorating, cooking, walking, running, lifting weights, knitting, Zumba, yoga, kickboxing, writing poetry and for my blog, gardening, reading, and photography.

I enjoy exercise...now cleared to get back to that, reading which I have done quite a bit since DD was born, and crochet which I haven't done in forever.

I have lots of hobbies. I'm so glad we bought our house, it's really giving me the opportunity to pursue some things I've had on the back burner.

Horses - even though I'm not currently riding I'm planning for our future horses. Hubby and I just walked our property out last night drawing up plans for the pastures and what needs to be graded. I'm also always participating in horse related facebook groups.
Sewing - kids have given me a reason to sew more.
Cooking/Baking - I don't bake as much as I used to but still enjoy making something special on the weekends. I tend to cook more now and I enjoy feeding people. Full belly's = happy heart for me.
Reading - I wish I could read as much as I used to but I'm managing to slowly get through books by reading on my phone!
Chickens - New hobby that my whole family is enjoying. I told H I want a chicken cam, I could watch them all day. Something really peaceful and stress relieving about them.
Yoga - love my prenatal class. it's great me time.

Things I haven't been doing as much lately that I miss - hiking, writing, photography.

I love to talk makeup!! I just discovered my holy grail of blush. It's the Milani in color luminoso, or something like that. It's gives such a fresh look. I also heard great things about the ELF baked blush. I'm waiting on my mom to send me one. If you want some great budget friendly makeup ideas, check out KathleenLights YouTube channel.
