I'm really into makeup right now. I have been sucked into the world of YouTube videos on how to's, best products, and just general skin care. My wallet does not like this fun new hobby.
Yes! Even though I don't wear much of it, I like trying out new colors and brands of what I do wear.
I have to ask- what is your favorite brand/color of blush? I always love recommendations on make up.
I love Nars orgasm blush. It's the perfect color, looks great on a lot of different skin tones.
I am a super book nerd. I love to get on goodreads and track my stuff, get recommendations, and I read for at least half an hour everyday, oftentimes more.
I have recently got back into crochet. I have a yarn stash to thin down, and a bunch of the ladies at my church are making lap blankets for our nearest veterans home. I am working on teaching myself some new super easy stitches. I am still very much a beginner who has only ever completed one project. Trying to change that!
I enjoy doing counted cross-stitch, but got frustrated with the project I was working on and haven't picked it back up in quite a while.
I enjoy cooking and baking, but since that is my career I don't necessarily consider it a hobby.
Finally, I love playing volleyball and softball, but don't have the opportunity right now. No one has ever invited me to play on any of the co-ed teams around here, so I am working on buddying up to the right people. It makes me sad that I don't get a chance to play, especially volleyball. I used to coach a junior high team back when I worked at a school, but stopped when I left the job.
I love skincare/ makeup too. I like experimenting with different eye and lip colors- I'm pretty boring with the rest of my face though. And I like trying different masks and serums to see how they make my skin look/ feel. I "sell" a certain brand although not really. I just use it for the discount and sell to friends/ family that use it to get me to the amount of wholesale I need to stay considered active and keep the discount. I love to read. I used to devour books. I could read a novel in a single day. Obviously that doesn't happen anymore lol. I have always enjoyed browsing for home design/ decorating things. But I haven't done much else since we aren't settled into a long-term home yet. One day we'll get there and I will be so excited to get all of the organization tools and decorating in place! I enjoy being outdoors in general. H and I used our tax return to get nice-ish bikes a few years ago and we love trail riding. With or without kiddos. And my list couldn't be complete without music. I majored in music in college and teach music, so it's a huge part of my life. I love the way certain music makes me feel. It changes my entire attitude sometimes. I played clarinet in college, but I haven't done much with it since. When we settle down a little more I want to join a local community wind band of music educators. I also want to get better on piano and learn guitar. That's one instrument I don't know even the basics on! And as an elementary music teacher, I feel like I should know at least the basic chord changes.
I see no point in putting on makeup if I'm just around the house. Especially with a face grabby kid. I wear it out and stuff.
For me it's my time to zone out and play around. Putting on makeup is a stress reliever for me. I also release by watching and learning about new products or techniques. Plus I feel 10x more confident afterwards. I SAH and still put makeup on because it's just my thing that makes me happy.

I got out of he habit of daily makeup when clinical a started. Something about being in a room with a C-Diff patient and sticky makeup just didn't do it for me.

Baking, but only in short spurts.
Reading and book club
Crochetting in short spells
I spend enough time chasing down cute outfits for my girls that it probably counts as a hobby. My husband hates the expenditure but he does like how the girls are dressed. (I realize this is supposed to be kid free, but honestly the clothes are much more about me than them at this age)
Non-hobby: sewing. Sometimes I think it would be cool to sew something, so I start a project. I get about 5 seconds in before I remember that I hate sewing.
mimsy 1. What is a c diff patient? 2. Why were you wearing sticky makeup?
C diff is a nasty gut infection that causes horrible, smelly diarrhea. Patients are in isolation rooms because it's highly contagious. It's not to much that my makeup was sticky- hospitals are dry and my skin with get oily. Oily skin makes me feel like stuff is sticky. C-diff involves poop. Even wearing a mask you feel dirty. And I did t even deal with it.
Oh, and I forgot, I love to play Just Dance on the Wii/Wii U. That is my main form of exercise other than walks around the neighborhood.
I used to be a Just Dance aholic. Me and my sister would have dance parties all the time. I tried to get DS to watch it and dance with us be he didn't want any part it in. I will try again though.
