It was mentioned in another thread, so it's a good topic.
Whose kid still needs to and are we trying to break them?
DD still sucks her pointer and middle fingers when she's tired or upset, well being 2 this is often. The dentist doesn't see too much of an issue, but still a little protruding of the top teeth. I haven't tried to stop her, just kind of hoping it works it's self out. Maybe I should?

We had a paci addict over here! One day just after turning 2, she threw it out of the cart while we were shopping and I just kept walking. (I circled back to grab it later but made sure that she didn't notice!)
Going to bed the first night was the hardest part, but we explained to her that she was a big girl and that she didn't need it anymore. By day 2 she was fine without it. To this day she still says "Sucky all gone. Threw out of cart." Lol.
jnetx Thanks, that is what I'm thinking. She has her next dentist appointment in May and we'll see where we stand. It is such an automatic soother I cringe to think of taking it away. How do parents deal. Especially at this age being such a high emotional time for them? Sometimes when she is in the throws of a really bad tantrum she puts her self to bed to suck her fingers for awhile with her blanket until she calms down.

We still have the paci which is a lifesaver at night and at naps.. Potty training.. Working on that but he refuses to poop in the potty(tells us after he poops in his diaper) and isn't consistent with peeing on/in the potty..
