Pregnancy insomnia has hit full force these past few days... Someone please give me hope that this won't last long! Went to bed at midnight, up at 4am.. Ugh

Happy Saturday! H and I had a spontaneous date night last night. I ate a medium-rare hanger steak and ice cream and regret none of it. H had a little too much to drink and wondered why I didn't want to "get frisky" when we got home. Poor boy... pregnancy has been hard on him!
I went to the our friend's bar for the basketball game last night and came home after. DH got home around 2 and then wanted to stay up which meant I was up. We were up face timing with his friend until almost 5. Why did I wake up at 8 then?? I'm sure I'll nap later on.
We're heading to the zoo for an Easter egg hunt. Should be an interesting trip considering I was hardly able to walk around Target last night without taking a break!
soultrane thank you for saying that. I've been so out of breath doing the simplest tasks. My family and I are going on a 3 mile walk this morning around the lake. I may be taking a few rest stops. Since ds and I have been sick for 3 weeks I haven't had any exercise in a while. My body is definitely showing the lack of exercise.
My house is kind of a mess and there are tons of little projects I need to get on. So right now I'm sitting in my dining room playing on my phone while low-grade anxiety over the various messes around me hovers over my shoulder. Tomorrow DH and I are painting the nursery, so I have a big project on the docket to make me feel accomplished. Maybe if I clean the stove or something my brain will shut up for the rest of today
vivela painting the nursery is a whole project you should feel good about that! I always find that wiping down my kitchen counters makes me feel accomplished, so I feel like cleaning the stove would work
DD has been having ear pain at night. So she has been in our bed starting at 330. Then I can't go back to sleep. We are going to go for a walk here soon. I have a girls night out tonight which will be nice.
I feel guilty this afternoon. I bought new allergy medicine because Zyrtec wasn't working for me. I bought Allegra assuming it was category B. But no it is category C. I feel incredibly guilty now.
DS' party was a huge hit and so much fun! There were tons of people at our house but it was so much fun! DS Loved his donut tower, having all of his friends in one place, and the egg hunt! Tonight my family is going to sit on the patio at a restaurant to eat Mexican food! Only wish I could have a margarita!

Sitting in the kitchen at my parents house... DD is out on a walk getting some fresh air with DH. My dad had the tv too loud (bought a surround sound system and doesn't get that your have to balance the levels and don't need it loud) and my nephew is being so rowdy and intolerable. Looking forward to going home.
bighair12 don't feel guilty, talk to your OB. If the allergies are so bad they might prescribe a category C. My asthma meds are category C but because breathing is so important they okayed me taking them.
We survived the zoo! My poor back isn't doing so well but we had a great time and saw most of what DS wanted to see. Once he wakes up from his nap, I'm planning to attack his room and start sorting through baby clothes!
txmommy14, glad to hear the party went well! How are you feeling by the way?
woodengirl07, what kind of swag are we talking? Even though this is #2 I was planning to do a small registry just for the completion discount. Free swag may have just convinced me!

soultrane idk if all of them are the same but we got diapers, wipes, a little storage pounch for diapers/wipes, two cans of dry formula, four bottles of liquid formula, $20 for shutterfly, $5 to babies are us, breast pads, a pacifier, an inflatable nursing pillow, and a bunch of coupons and magazines.
soultrane, I am feeling a lot better, thanks for asking! My burns still look very bad, but I can walk on my foot so it's definitely not broken!! Glad you guys enjoyed the zoo!
PSA: the Target deal ends today, I think! Spend $150 and get a $25 gift card. If you buy two big packs of diapers, you also get a $10 gift card. So I spent $150 and got $35 in gift cards-just got lots of essentials like breast milk storage bags, diapers, wipes, butt paste, etc. Oh and some girl car seat toys
Target gives an awesome free swag bag too-I created a secret registry and put one thing on it (our double stroller). I got a bag with a paci, bottle, a Starbucks coupon, and tons of other stuff!
I'm getting college reunion info in the mail. The weekend is June 3-5, and I'm due the 16th. I live about an hour and a half away from the school. I'd have to buy tickets to events. I'm torn... Do I buy tickets to one or two events so I can see people if I can, and swallow the cost if I can't manage it? Or do I skip the whole thing and look forward to the 15 year reunion?

I skipped my five year because DD was born about a month before it. But I live 8 hours away, so it's a little different. I'd try and figure out whether seeing people is important enough that you're willing to swallow the cost.
Also make sure you'd be allowed to travel at that point even if it's not thay far. My OB kind of forbid anything over an hour in the last month.

How far in advance do you realistically need to buy tickets? Are they the type of events/spaces that will fill up and sell out? I'd probably take a wait and see approach. And also scope out who is going that I really want to see.

Yesterday I actually did stuff around the house so today I'm just chilling with DS.
I've been doing laundry and sadly ruined my only pair of khaki maternity pants. Apparently bleach hung out in the washer 3 loads later because they are now pink :-(. Guess I know what I'll be doing this week, picking up some new maternity clothes.
