I'm getting college reunion info in the mail. The weekend is June 3-5, and I'm due the 16th. I live about an hour and a half away from the school. I'd have to buy tickets to events. I'm torn... Do I buy tickets to one or two events so I can see people if I can, and swallow the cost if I can't manage it? Or do I skip the whole thing and look forward to the 15 year reunion?
I would double check with your OB whether or not you can travel that distance first. If your OB is alright with it, then I would maybe consider buying tickets as long as your DH is going with you and probably not plan on staying the whole weekend.
I'll mention the reunion to my OB and see what she thinks. My five year was really fun and I got to reconnect with so many great people. I'd hate to miss it, but I figure there is a good chance the idea of hauling myself up there and back will be a big "HA. NO." when it actually comes down to it manybellsdown The cut off for buying tickets isn't actually until May 27th, so theoretically I have plenty of time to think about it. They give the standard "these things sell out fast, so book now!" warning, but honestly that is probably more about securing people quickly than an outdoor bbq selling out. And if it does... Well, decision made then I guess?
mladerri I get out of breath putting on my shoes! Have fun on your walk!

Part of the reason I need the weather to get a little warmer is so I can wear flats every day. I dread zipping up my boots or tying shoelaces in the morning, it is exhausting!
Hey, anyone wanna recommend their toilet? I need to replace one of ours, and I'm doing that thing I always do where I read a billion reviews and make myself crazy. Aside from the obvious that it functions like it should, priorities are: reasonable price, easy to clean.

In two of our bathrooms we have Toto Drakes. They work so well!
I got my swag bag from Target today. We registered last month but hadn't yet picked up the bag.
They give a bottle, a pacifier, 3 diapers, a few wipe samples, 2 breastmilk storage bags & 2 nipple pads, a 3oz bottle of johnsons baby bedtime bath, a few small samples of detergent & creams, plus a few coupons (including buy 1 get 1 free Starbucks --btw doesn't work on "seasonal" drinks.)
Confession: I'm not sure if I've ever had heartburn? Can someone describe the feeling? Maybe I have and don't realize it's heartburn?
I don't have it at all ever when I'm not pregnant, so the first time I ever experienced it was during my first pregnancy. It's this feeling in your chest and/or throat that you've swallowed some acid and your insides are burning. It's a really uncomfortable feeling and it can make you feel really nauseated and vomit. It can also make it very uncomfortable to lay down.
So I was playing with DS on the floor yesterday with a blanket and decided to practice my swaddle skills on him. I swaddled him really tightly and then we would see how long it took him to break free. He thought this was the best game ever and we did it about 57 times. I'm just wondering why he did not find this game so enjoyable 2 years ago.

I'd never had it until I was pregnant. But you definitely know it when you have it. My best description is that it feels like my throat is burning.
Mine is typically combined with reflux. It feels like something is crawling up your throat and/or just hanging out at the bottom of your throat. My heart burn and reflux has been bad this week! And I'm especially sad because although pizza was the first to go (tear), last night all I ate were sweets... And that did it too!!! (Double tear!)

Lucky txmommy14! I got heartburn frequently before being pregnant. Interestingly I haven't had it much during pregnancy so far. Pre-pregnancy it was always stress-related. But now it seems more physical, which makes sense. It's brought on by laying down after eating a rich food, which was my problem last night. Lesson learned: don't eat dessert 30 min before bedtime.
I scored a great deal on a K'tan that was used only one time. I was on the fence about which carrier I wanted to add this time so the price helped me make my decision! Brand new, $15, in the color I was looking at anyway!
Happy Easter! It is painting the nursery day... Hoping we get it done in a reasonable amount of time. I feel like it is one of those projects that takes twice as long as you expect it to. Everyone happens to be out of town this year, so we are free of family obligations. It is kind of nice!

soultrane , I am feeling a lot better, thanks for asking! My burns still look very bad, but I can walk on my foot so it's definitely not broken!! Glad you guys enjoyed the zoo!
txmommy14 I'm glad you are starting to feel a little better (even if it it doesn't look it). I'm also glad you were able to walk on your foot for your DS's big party.

Happy Easter ladies! Trying to digest all this lunch in preparation for dinner. Doesn't help that my MIL said 1 and food wasn't ready til 2:30. Ha ha. Oh well, luckily I can always eat.
