Mom fail: we celebrate Easter with H's family every year the week after Easter. So in my head I've been thinking I had another week to get his basket gifts, dye eggs, etc.
A spent the night at the IL's last night so we could get some work done on the house/ get ready for baby's arrival. Of course I still wake up same time even though I could have slept in! Oh well- I'm enjoying lounging in bed anyway. Lots more work to do today before we go dye Easter eggs with H's family tonight!
Target question: we are going to my parents place in Arizona next week. Can I still buy things like pool float/ring with shade and pool toys? I would think that isn't really seasonal in Arizona but who knows. I'd rather buy it there and leave it for next time than bring my own from home
Check their website. You can set your store location for Arizona and look to see if it's in stock.
Eta I live in MO and they're already getting those things out. So I'd say you're safe but check the website to be sure.
A woke up screaming at 1:30. Finally got him back to sleep and then I couldn't sleep. Thankfully we don't have plans to go anywhere today, but DH is being productive and now I feel like a lazy ass!

I just got one at Target in Ohio, so I'm sure you're good. Walmart didn't have theirs out though.

I live in the Pacific Northwest where it's nowhere near pool season and our target has that stuff out so I bet you're safe.
Found mouse droppings in my pj drawer yesterday and now just discovered my bagels have a chunk missing and a hole in the bag. Nope nope nope! Burning the house down.

NOOOOOOO This is 100000x worse than my garage mice. Sorry about your house. Too bad you have to burn it to the ground
Yeah. I began to like this house. Too bad it'll be ashes soon enough.
What's worse is last week I had a different package of bagels. When I got to the last one, I noticed a chunk missing. Thought it was weird but thought it got caught in a machine while being packaged. So I cut off the piece with the chunk missing, toasted the bagel then ATE IT. But a mouse had probably gotten into that package too. *shudder*
We're working on an hour and a half of getting A to sleep in his new bed. He totally freaks out being left alone, but tries to climb all over is if we lay down with him. I almost had him asleep 2 different times by standing over him stroking his cheek, but my 35 week pregnant back can only handle that so long before it starts screaming at me to move. Of course even the small act of straightening out is enough to have to start the whole process over again. This is going to be a looooong night.

I live in Arizona and yes you can find that stuff at pretty much any store

What are Ukrainian egg dyes?
We do super simplified pysanka eggs. You use raw eggs, wax, and a special dye and then either hollow out the shells or leave them to dry out. We still have some from when I was in elementary school! Example (ours are way simpler though)
ETA: we get the dyes from a Ukrainian lady who sells them out of her basement. It's sketchy
These are beautiful! I used to have a hollow hand painted egg shell when I was a kid. I loved it; thought it was the coolest thing. I have no idea what happened to it. It wasn't nearly up to that level though.
Has anyone else's kid basically quit eating after a stomach bug? It's been nearly a week and I'm struggling to get her to eat more than a bit of fruit or maybe half of a pouch.

Have you considered getting a cat? It'll solve all your mouse problems.

We do have a cat! She mostly stays upstairs but caught a mouse a few months ago. And MIL has 4 cats in the basement.

DD still has a fever, and threw up on Thursday night. She had not eaten a whole lot in the last few days. Most of what she has eaten has been fruit. She will eat like 2 pouches of applesauce, so maybe a bit more than your DD. I have been most worried about hydration though, and she has been good with the water, so that makes me feel better.

We just went through this. Apparently it's going around.

Just seeing this but whenever A had a stomach bug the pedi always said the food didn't matter- what mattered was getting plenty of fluids in him. Now ours didn't last that long but I'd guess that she's still not 100% over it or feeling up to eating. She'll eat when she gets her appetite back. I'd say call the pedi if she still isn't eating by the end of the week, but I wouldn't worry too much about it unless she isn't drinking enough.

She was eating pretty normally today. Mom kept feeding her salmon. She then puked it all up in the car though. I blame overly full belly and twisty back mountain roads.
