More kids?

I know some of us have had babies since our S13er, but I'm wondering what are your plans going forward? Was S13 your first, last, middle, don't know yet?

 

Our S13 baby was our first. We had our second in D15. We are 99.999999% done. I was going to get my tubes tide during my RCS, but DH got cold feet and asked me not to. He didn't want to make a final decision while we are still in the mix of it all. I had a brief (and I mean oh so very brief) pang of what if we had a 3rd, but luckily that passed quickly. I guess when DD#2 is 18m(ish) we'll make the final call and one of us will get fixed.

Our S13er was our first. DS was born in August, and we are currently not sure if there will be a third or not. We initially wanted three, but after two kids who are/were terrible infants... we're not so sure. Plus, financially, it makes more sense to stop at two. If finances improve though, I'm pretty sure we'll go for three. We're waiting till ds is two before deciding for sure, so we have a bit of time. I feel like I will regret not having three, since that is how I've always envisioned my family.

Our S13er (DD) was our first and just had DS last month. I can't fathom being pregnant again, ever. I just felt so awful all the time with DS. I'm very much trying to embrace and enjoy the newborn phase as this will likely be our last but feel my time is so undivided no matter which LO I'm trying to give my attention to so a third seems not practical for me. DS is a relatively mellow and good baby (so far) which makes me sometimes question my decision since I'll miss the littleness of a newborn etc but I'm pretty sure thats not happening. We're happy with our two and I will ask DH to get a vasectomy at some point when we are 100% sure.

Like the rest of PPs, my S13er was my first and I had #2 last fall. We are 99% sure we are done. I have a Mirena that's good for the next 4.5 years, after which DH will get a vasectomy unless we have miraculously changed our minds and have a third.

There are so many reasons-
Our babies are very demanding and sleep terribly
We both have career ambitions that make more children seem impractical
We live in a HCOL area and I don't see how we could have the life we want with 3 kids
My pregnancies are really rough and I've had semi traumatic births both times
We have already had a MC and I don't think I could handle another
I am still healing a diastasis and a hip issue from #2's pregnancy. I'm sure the issues would get worse for another pregnancy
We live very far from all family and have little support network which is really tough

So yeah. Pretty sure we are done, although I will get the occasional crazy "what if" thoughts

My S13 DD was my first, followed by an A15 DD. Both were pretty easy newborns, but both had pretty big health issues that are now resolved.

I don't want a third until I really think about the kids being older and life with two teenagers vs three, or two coming home from college, future family holidays, etc. I always wanted a large family and wonder if we will be missing something, fictional or not. I don't know how to make that feeling go away completely. Blah

Our S13 twins were our first (born in A13, but I was due 9/6!). I want another child. DH does not want anymore. IF we were to try again, it would be with our frozen embies, so we've talked about having DH snipped. I don't want to be on the BCP forever.

Originially, I had wanted all my kids close in age, but with twins, that idea changed. (I originally had thought when baby turned one or two, to try for a sibling.) It's just too much for me. (DH's work has and can demand mandatory OT at any time - last time it was 3 straight years of it, including the first 2 years of our girls' lives.)

Sometimes, I feel like I'm totally good with just my girls, to be honest. I'm so very grateful for them. But then I look at their baby pics or newborn clothes in the stores and my uterus and heart ache for another.

I don't know. I'm so torn. But it hurts my heart when I see people on their second or third pregnancies/kids, even though I already have two to love.

I have my S13 DD and J15 DD. DH and I go back and forth, but I'd say that we are 70% sure we'd like another. Before having kids I was set on 2, but I don't feel that we are done yet.

DD1 was definitely a more challenging baby where as DD2 is super laid back and easy so I think that that plays into it as well. Only time will tell, but we'd definitely wait a couple more years.

A13 DS (was due September 3) was our first, DS2 is D15.
We are done.
DS1 had/has health issues and DS2 is not a chill baby like DS1 and neither sleep.
We couldn't handle another. Sometimes I wonder if DS2 is a cranky pants because he's already fighting for attention.
