Oh my gosh at mc13, huge congrats!! My midwives insist I'm only carrying one, but what happened to you happens in my dreams ALL THE TIME!!! What an awesome surprise!!! I'm so happy for you!! If you have any questions, a girl from my BMB has 3u2 and I'm sure she'd be happy to answer any questions. She had twins in May 15 and then one in Jan 16!! @irishvodkagirl

The tech said this is so rare to find out this late - but thankfully I've been low risk so there was no need for earlier scans. The midwives had no idea. They personally called me after they got my results to make sure I was ok handling the news. It's quite the surprise but I think we're starting to get excited after trying to figure out everything we'll need to get. Lol oh and thanks! I've already intro'd on the multiples board. I'll probably see her there.
Had our Anatomy Scan this morning at 19 weeks, 1 day (due 9/15) and surprise!!! It's TWINS!!! I think we're still in shock over the idea of having 3 under 2.
We've had no prior scans and heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks and 18 week on the Doppler and nothing picked up on two. I guess being tall has really helped to hide the fact that there's two babies in there. We went in being team green but with twins, I just had to know and it's two girls! Now, to work on finding more names we like and to buy more diapers!!
@bl210 I had a two vessel cord. I had to go for a fetal echo and started weekly NSTs at 32 weeks, but DD was born perfectly healthy and screaming.
There is a SUA thread on the pregnancy board too if anyone needs it
HI guys. I like squeeing at babies!
Thank you for this! From what I have read, it seems like everything will be OK. She and I will require more monitoring. They are already watching my close due to having a compromised cervix and twins.
You can also PM me if you want. My DS's cord was SUA. Also more monitoring (and u/s!) but he was born a healthy 6lb9oz!
You too! I totally goofed and my appointment is apparently tomorrow and not today! Thank goodness for the robo call I got from my office! Will update tomorrow
Good luck to my date buddies! Ours is late in the afternoon (3:40pm) and I have a HOA meeting tonight, so it might be tomorrow morning before I get back here to update.

1) When are you due? 9/7
2) Were they able to get all the measurements? Any concerns or does all look good? Will you need a follow up u/s? Got it all and everything looked great!! Baby was very cooperative!
3) If you found out the baby's (or babies') sex, what are you having? It's a BOY!!
4) If you found out, did you have any sex disappointment (This is a safe space - it's totally normal to feel a range of emotions when it comes to joining a team)? Honestly I thought I'd be a little disappointed because I was slightly hoping for a girl (because I picture myself with a little Irish dancing girl at some point), but I got so excited when she said it's a boy (although I already figured it out because there was absolutely zero doubt looking at the screen)!!! MH and I are just so happy everything looked great!
5) What's your name strategy? Do you have a name set in stone? Or one of each set in stone if you're Team Green? Taking a few to the hospital? Not ready to pick yet? We haven't talked about names much so far, but we'll pick a name before he's here. Maybe a back-up one too just in case the first doesn't seem to fit him. I'll share with you guys when we pick one, but we plan to keep our choice a secret IRL until birth.
6) Any AWs/comments/questions? Not really. Just soooo happy things looked good!!! I haven't gained much weight so I was a little worried it would affect baby but his estimated weight looked good and he's measuring right on track!
1) When are you due? 9/4 2)Where they able to get all the measurements? Any concerns or does all look good? Will you need a follow up u/s? They got all the measurements. The only concern was there was possible fluid around the heart so we will be going in for another u/s in 4 weeks. 3) If you found out baby's sex, what are you having? Girl!! 4) If you found out, did you have any sex disappointment? No disappointment, we are so very excited to be having a girl! 5) What's your name strategy? Do you have a name seton stone? We are almost 100% sure baby girl will be Ember Ruth! I really love the name Paisley but DH will not go for it. 6) Any AWs/ comments/questions? I already posted the pic but I don't mind doing it again
1) When are you due? 9/15, though measurements are now consistent with the original 9/17 due date.
2) Were they able to get all the measurements? Any concerns or does all look good? Will you need a follow up u/s? They got all the measurements, but the tech didn't say anything about good or bad, except that size is right on.
3) If you found out the baby's (or babies') sex, what are you having? A girl!
4) If you found out, did you have any sex disappointment (This is a safe space - it's totally normal to feel a range of emotions when it comes to joining a team)? H is a little bummed. He wants a boy, but we're also planning to only have 2 and so he feels like we're "under the gun" with #2. I'm ecstatic. I've already been thinking of this baby as a girl, so it works for me.
5) What's your name strategy? Do you have a name set in stone? Or one of each set in stone if you're Team Green? Taking a few to the hospital? Not ready to pick yet?
Her name will be Katherine Julia. Julia (spelled Gulia) is after H's grandmother, Katherine is just a girl name we really like.
