So we are still a few weeks from coming home, but I'm already starting to think about a gift for Luke's nurses. The NICU we are at allows us to choose a primary nurse for him, basically whenever that nurse is working, she will always be taking care of him. He currently has two, one during day shift and another during night shift. He still has other nurses taking care of him when those two ladies are off. I am planning on bringing in about 100 bite size cupcakes (from my favorite cupcake store) for all of the nurses as he gets close to going home, but I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for his primary nurses. I am drawing an absolute blank as to what to get them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My DS had 4 different nurses assigned to himduring his NICU stay. We got the whole NICU staff coffee and donuts and we got small gift baskets from the local Italian specialty store for his individual nurses.
We did gift cards for each of his nurses in a little gift bag with some lotion and candy and a nice note. I think gift cards are a pretty safe bet, along with a note to make it personal!
We did coffee and doughnuts for the NICU nurses as well. There were a few nurses who we wanted to give a special thank you to and my sister made them some really pretty lanyards for their badges. It was hard to try and say thank you for the care they gave our boys everything seemed like not enough but they were really appreciative.

I brought candy and gave a Starbucks gift card to our favorite nurse. Is there a restaurant/coffee shop in the hospital? A GC to one of those could be good!
