lostinfaith225, one change at a time is more than enough. That's what we are doing - just started a few months ago. Big boy bed in Jan, Feb lost the high chair, now potty training, moving in June, new baby in July, preschool in September. I'd lose my mind if I had to do all of those changes in just a few months - kids are so resilient and awesome. I need to remember to give DS more credit!
And I was dreading losing the crib, but it also wasn't as bad as I expected. Just 2-3 very rough days that kept getting easier. Hope you have a good experience too!
That is what I remind myself too. Ds has done great with transitions to new things, so his bed shouldn't be too traumatic. Ds did great when we moved last summer. He was excited for the yard and more space in the house to run. He loves his playroom. I bet your ds will do great with it!
My 4 year old slept from almost 9pm - 7am in HER OWN BED. That's huge for us. I actually feel semi awake and haven't needed caffeine yet today!
Mine did the same. She's a good sleeper but she's been on a regression kick with lots of crying out OR trying to crawl in my bed at 2 am. But not last night!
My win was I woke up to a rainy day and wondered what the heck I was going to do with DD and my babysitting kid all morning. Then I remembered I had registered for a free storytime yoga thing at the library. There is nothing better than not having to figure out a rainy day plan.
DS was going sans diaper since we got home from school. I'm following his cues and he's peeing on the potty every 15 minutes or so. Rockstar! Then, he screams POOOOP and runs to the bathroom and pooped on the potty!!! He was so so scared of pooping but he totally did it! It's all he keeps talking about. He made me call DH and my mom to tell them about it.
Someone just posted this in one of the local mom FB groups I'm in. I'm sure if I were her I'd be frustrated, but I laughed so hard reading it haha!
That pheasant would be dead in exactly one minute if that was my backyard. Hunting dogs FTW. They both have killed a handful of pheasants in their day. It would make a delicious dinner!
