I'm here!! JustJudy, how was the US? Fingers crossed for some good news!
Beta tomorrow. Somehow we've resisted hpts, just waiting for the official verdict. Blood work in the morning, should have news by afternoon. The wait this time is so painful. Aaaaand let's just say these meds are no joke with the moodiness... K is a tad edgy.

How did you resist? I'm so impressed!
Cysts is still hanging out but smaller and as long as my blood work levels are low enough she said fuck it we'll go for it this month so I have 2 more hours of waiting!

Our past experiences with hpts haven't exactly left us with hope. Figure if it's negative it'll be saddening and still unsure; if it's positive we'll be warily happy and also unsure so we're just skipping it. We'll know when we know.
Bah, the bloodwork. Sounds like hurdle one passed, can't wait to hear the official answer. I'm all for the spirit of "fuck it, let's do this!"

I am just sitting around waiting to go to Vegas so I can get back on this train. Julie had a + OPK today, but can't meet our donor tomorrow during the times he is avaliable, due to a work conflict. So that f*cking sucks. We are both pretty disappointed with the whole journey this far, it's been an uphill battle with nearly no "high" points. It's just never seems to work out, lol. It's not funny, but it's the only thing that makes it better.
Tomorrow I find out if I am getting a bonus this quarter, if I do end up with one, I think I am going to order sperm from the bank again, so I don't have to worry about driving 1.5 hours away to meet the donor.
I can't decide. Nothing feels right anymore. I have no gut instincts left, and just feel drained. But I know I have to keep trying.
My levels are good to go! I'm starting 225iu of Follistim tonight and go back in for an ultrasound and blood work on Thursday. Dear universe please let the 13th try be the one that works.

V and I had our third attempt at IUI yesterday. Thus far, we have only been tracking V's temperature and using ovulation prediction kits to schedule unmedicated IUIs. If this cycle doesn't work, we will meet with our doctor to see if we need to make any changes to what we've been doing.
Even if this cycle doesn't work, V and I felt really good about our experience yesterday. We had a different nurse than the one we had the previous two attempts. This nurse took a lot of care to ensure that V was comfortable throughout the procedure, and she included me as well. She invited me to watch what she was doing and explained each step. Once the nurse had the catheter and syringe exactly where she needed it, she invited me to actually complete the insemination! The first nurse never provided us that option, and I figured my only job was to hold V's hand throughout the process.
As for non-TTC stuff, my sister's birthday is tomorrow, and V and I are having dinner with her and her friends. Friday night, I'll be joining some ladies from work for happy hour. I think our weekend is free so far, and I'm just fine with that, although tomorrow will be the first day we've seen the sun in New England in about a week, so perhaps this weekend will bring us to the dog park with our pup! We love watching her play with her friends.
