22 weeks with #2

Our next midwife appt is next week. I think M is tired but that could be due to O not sleeping well the past week. It is funny how different the second pregnancy is than the first. It's crazy that we are more than 1/2 way baked already. I feel bad for M because she doesn't get a lot of down time (mostly of her own choosing). We are going to the Y frequently so she is able to continue to work out at this point. I think she is over being pregnant already! I brought the maternity clothes up from the basement last week. She wasn't thrilled but to be fair all of the maternity stuff is not really her style (low cut shirts) and I can't say I blame her. She's mentioned that if we are having any more kids, she is not carrying them!

QOTW: I wish she would do more to take care of herself but she enjoys working out and is keeping up with that for now.

33 weeks here.

At our last midwife appointment I was measuring super-bigger than I should be so we have an ultrasound booked for friday.

All the usual stuff going on over here. We've been unpacking a lot of boxes in the basement/moving things down so that's led to being sore and tired. The main floor is shaping up though - room for baby and things. My mom is coming with the crib and change table my step-sister is giving us so that'll be nice (to set up the crib, not necessarily the visiting part. We are pretty heavily programmed from now until mid-May.

I'm feeling pretty cabin fever-y today since I've been under the weather, was home sick yesterday and am on the mend today but did some work from home. I need to get out of the house but can't decide where to go/what to do. I'm thinking run errands.

19+5 today. We've had a crazy week trying to finish up mw's new office. Anatomy scan was Tuesday, but the scan was super crappy. We saw her move all over which was nice, but they really couldn't get a good enough picture to take any of the important measurements. Hoping when we go back next month we'll get a pretty picture. It's frustrating since the 12 week scan we had at the same office was crystal clear.

I've been bad at check-ins lately because we have been so busy with the move and we all got sick. I've been pretty irritable at L because she pretty much told me when we decided to move at this time that she would "do everything" since I'm 7 months pregnant. Obviously, she can't do everything but she hasn't been helping as much as I thought. Partly, because she is sick. I am trying not to do too much but it's hard. I'm trying to toddler proof new house and I haven't even started organizing stuff for baby's room. She won't be sleeping in her own room for awhile but would like to have things ready.

I have been having more Braxton hicks. Sunday I had a lot and started worrying I would go into labor but they stopped. With my first my water broke first and I didn't start having real contractions until after they gave me pitocin, which got strong and painful fast. So I don't really remember what initial contractions felt like. These were definitely not painful or regular, just more than normal and didn't go away right away after lying down.

Anyway, had OB appt, ultrasound, and stress test yesterday and everything was good.

QOTW-- I try to take a nap every day that I don't work during the day. That helps a lot as I'm tired a lot lately with frequent night Wakings. I also try to go on a short walk with dog. A friend of mine asked me to go to prenatal yoga class with her. I might do that. I also will take baths some.

Hi!!

I'm 35w5d and STILL preggo. Cervix is closed up tight. Boys measured at 6lb8oz and 6lb9oz at our sono on Tuesday. Baby B has flipped, so both of them are in position and ready to go. Doctor has gone from preaching the c-section to wanting to try delivering vaginally. And they'd like to push it out to 39 weeks before we induce, because why the hell not. I'm measuring at 45w, but surviving!

I have been working (don't tell my doctor!) at the office, and it's been insanely busy there. I actually think I might have MORE time to check in once the boys arrive and I'm home!

I'll try to stop by with a photo update soon, because it's hilarious.
