When they just have something in their mouth? My gag reflexes are the worst when I am pregnant. It isn't that something even is gross to me or taste bad, it's just having something in my mouth. I just gagged on a bite of waffle...so stupid. Don't even get me started on brushing my teeth. I look like a heaving cat.
When brushing my teeth yes. It's horrible. Sometimes thinking about things will make me gag. With food in my mouth no. But definitely while brushing my teeth
Dry heaving while brushing your teeth is awful. Then there is that one time where it sets off actual throwing up and you have to brush again. It's cyclical torture.

My gag reflex is bad even when i'm not pregnant, but i'm usually ok with food. Unless I take too big of a bite or get grossed out while eating. Also, the dentist is my enemy.
All of the first trimester I was borderline throwing up each time I brushed my teeth, but it's slowly getting less and less. I do gag if I eat something too slowly, once I get to the last few bites I can't get them down. It's bizarre.

Food warning.....
Meat...chicken in particular. If anything seems amiss about it when it's in my mouth, too moist, too dry, etc. I will gag. Typing that out made me want to gag.

I had to brush my teeth over the toilet for weeks. It was awful. Still have to be careful, but it's not too bad. Now, taking my prenatals almost makes me retch

Yes. All the time. When brushing my teeth, and when I take too big of a bite of food - especially if it's dry like bread. Ugh. And it does sometimes lead to getting sick. Hate it.
I definitely threw up in the sink this morning trying to brush my teeth...I have to wear retainers at night and trying to get them in/out almost always results in gagging. sharebear05 The retainers are a by-product of Invisalign. I can't imagine having it while pregnant and sick! Whew! But, the results will definitely be worth it (both teeth and baby )
For some reason, I have trouble with bananas. (That sounds so obscene. Do with it as you wish.)
elenetxu I've had this trouble with bananas for years! Between the taste and the texture, I just can't even with bananas.
I like them! They're one of the few things I can eat on the "minute break" I have between sessions at work. However, for some reason, I've started to have an issue with the texture. As soon as I start thinking of the texture issue- bam! Gagging!
This is not what I thought it was going to be... Oh lord me and my gutter brain. But yes add me to the gagging whilst brushing teeth. It's awful. I hope it let's up soon for us all!

Brushing my teeth & swishing water after, taking pills (especially those huge prenatals!), coughing, phlegm, almost anything can set it off. I'm taking the gummy prenatals for now with the fiber & calcium gummy supplement.
