What's everyone using ? It's becoming clear to me that pampers swaddlers aren't strong enough to withstand poops as I've been in shitsmaggedon all week long !!! No matter how prepared I am, I always end up with SHIT. EVERYWHERE. It must be bc the crap leaks out when k lay him down to change but obviously at the moment I can't do it any other way. Does anyone have suggestions or recommend something that could at least handle the poops a little better than swaddlers.

I agree with looking into sizing up.
We use Costco Kirkland and Huggies Snug N' Dry for overnights. Our pooplosions are fewer now that we bumped to a larger size (even though DS was borderline on the weight for the larger size).
We have done well with the swaddlers, even with a major stomach bug last week--10 watery poopsplosions in 24 hours. However, we had just recently sized up so that probably helped.
Perhaps that's the answer (sizing up) although the idea of him going into 4 is giving me a case of the sads. Although he leaked through a 4 my MIL had on hand the day before but it wasn't as bad it was a pampers extra dry

Like wise..... We love Luvs here. I just bought a case of 3s and a case of 4s at target because they had a really good deal-- but what you need to know (don't know if this rings true for everyone) might just be my DS- Luvs run a little small (in huggies/pampers DS can still wear a size 2 but in Luvs he is definitely in a size 3). I love Luvs and you can usually always find a good deal. I have also used the up and up brand at target too- they are pretty good.

We cloth diaper but since we only have 2 overnight diapers, she's in a disposable every other 2 nights. I use the Target brand and really like them much more than Pampers and especially Huggies.

For us we use Huggies Snug n Dry and Luvs. We've also used the Babies R Us brand and they seemed to fit LO well. Our little guy was just over 15 lbs at his 4 mo appointment and to me he has a longer torso and small waist. He's kind of built like Sponge Bob! I think the Luvs work really well when he's in between Huggies sizes. But when he has an explosion it doesn't matter what brand he's wearing-ain't nothin holdin it in! The main reason we get Huggies is because that's what Costco has and too afraid to buy the monster box of their Kirkland brand in case they don't work as well.

Nothing contains poop except cloth for us. I have disposables on hand for wash day and such and grabbed Luvs this time. No luck. Poop all up the back. Thank goodness they have a money back guarantee. I can't stand the smell of them either.
I feel for us it is very dependent on her size. However we have all sorts of diapers at our house. When we move up a size I start with luvs then pampers baby dry then swaddlers then lastly huggies. I despise the huggies. And like baby dry the best. DD is pretty thin ad I think that makes a huge difference.
We're in size 4 and use the Costco Kirkland brand and it's been working great. We had way too many poopslopsions (5 a day) before going up a size and changing diapers from the target up&up. It is sad going up to size 4, it says "toddlers" on the box!!

You're in a size 4??? A still wears the size 1 when I do disposables.
Yeah DS is a bigm. He was 17lbs at his 4 month appt Im really curious what he'll be next week at his 6mon.

DS breaks out in a rash when we've used regular, non hypoallergenic diapers. So I'm stuck buying organic hypoallergenic ones. Of course. $$$$ I cry a little on the inside when we go to BJs and I see how much cheaper they are! We tried Earths Best but they sucked big time. We now use the Huggies Pure & natural or whole foods brand if we can't get the Huggies since they don't sell them everywhere. I have to say though, they do work well. Never had a diaper rash or any poopsplosions, so...atleast there's that.

A is tall and lean, but her height chart still says she's only the 50% for height. But she was only 13lb at five months. we've been supplementing for just over a week now and dh and I can feel her gaining weight.
My LO was around 11.5 lbs as 5 mo. She's still in size ones when we do disposables so 13 lbs sounds perfectly good to me!

My kid also has a long torso and a smaller waist - but Huggies have sucked for us. Still trying to find a diaper that works well for him. Partially he's just pooping more and having more watery poops with the introduction of new foods, I think.
We use Pampers Swaddlers and Honest Co diapers and haven't had too much of a blowout problem - when we do, we just up the size and it usually resolved the problem!

Have To say.love the luvs. Those commercials are actually true lol. Anyone else notice that swaddlers sensitive run smaller than regular swaddlers. Size 3 in sensitive was getting tight but 3 were definitely bigger n

I actually noticed the opposite back when we were in size 1. I think it literally might just depend on when the diapers were made or something because I've noticed a slight variety in size with all the pampers, but definitely we had a box of reg swaddlers that was significantly smaller than the box of sensitive swaddlers.
