What is everyone using for a carrier? I loved our moby wrap when she was little, but now I'd like something more rugged.
We have an ergo and that worked well to front carry, but now that she's big enough to go on my back I just can't get it to fit right, despite all of the youtubeing and adjusting I do.
We still use the Ergo with him facing me in the front. He's a big boy too and he still likes being carried that way. I haven't looked into other positions yet.
I am interested in a backpack style for hiking etc. Metal frame and all. Used my front carrier on Saturday and my back was killing me...also DH is a bigger guy and the front carrier we have doesn't fit him.

I LOVE my lillebaby carrier. I'm petite and H is not and we can both use it. Its easy to put on by myself and it has great back support. It can be used in 6 positions (I think it's 6) and it less expensive than a lot of the other popular ones out there.
Do you have to switch her to your back? Why not keep using the ergo in a front carry?
I know nothing about baby wearing except that I like it and I love my ergo. But, I have so much trouble clipping the back...damn short arms.
I don't mind wearing her in font, but when I'm doing things that are more physical/involve a lot of bending (like vacuuming) it's SO much easier on the quads to have her on my back. And as she gets bigger, I just feel like the back carry is more realistic.

Tulas, I've noticed are really well-loved and seem to be really comfortable. If I had the money, I'd probably get a Lillebaby since you can front face with them. DD has decided she doesn't really like to be worn anymore unless she's facing out. I have an ergo now, but she'll only tolerate it for so long.

I'm still using my ergo on the front though I'm about ready to try him on my back in it. I also have woven wraps and I'm starting to learn how to do back carries with those. When my guy outgrows the ergo (we have the sport) I'm planning on getting a Tula or Kinderpack, depending on which one fits me better.
I used to hate my k'tan and now I have finally found a position DD and I both like.
Idk if you can tell in that picture but it is the hip position. This is how I hold her all the time anyway and with the extra wrap around it's perfect. I don't even really need to hold her at all. I have used it all week while on vacation. It's great and I would now recommend my k'tan.
I'm still rocking the k'tan. Do you have the new ergo that has four possible positions? We were looking into getting one.
We have the older ergo model. I love it to front carry (aside from the contortionist you need to be to buckle the top strap), but now that we're trying back carrying I find the hip buckle sits right on my hip bone. The way the ergo is made, you can't adjust both sides of the hip strap, so I'm kinda stuck.

If you want something rugged for outdoor activities a Kelty Baby Backpack is great.
I used to have a kelti backpack, this one looks way more compact than mine. It got really cumbersome (the one with the big frame). I love ergo - I could ergo all day long (front, back, side carry).

I love my Boba 4g. We just started doing back carries bc LO will shrimp when I wear her infront. She prefers to be on my back. I have heard from multiple people that the ergo is not as comfortable on their back.
