Ok, so we've got the bathroom done other than decor. The accessories are all chrome, so I'm thinking as far as wall hangings maybe something with chrome/mirrors? It would hang on the wall above the shelf. And I'm thinking just white towels? I don't think any color would look right but I'm no good at decorating. HALP me!

If you are decorating to sell I would keep things minimal. You could do white or light gray towels. I agree that a small painting or something of a beach scene would look nice or even a small floating shelf with glass jars of cotton balls and qtips with wash clothes stacked or rolled. Looks nice to buyers. Avoid clutter.

Also-when you are showing the house take down a personal photos and knick-knacks. I know it's a long way off, but I would avoid putting new holes in the walls to hang things if you can try.

Sinner. I need decor advice too... can I briefly hijack your thread?
I have NO idea what to choose for our kitchen backsplash. We have black sparkly (flecks of gold) granite counters and I plan on painting our cabinets white in the next few months. I'm so torn on what color or style backsplash to use. Any ideas?

mrssinner402 I agree with pps, white gray or navy with a simple decoration. Black and white photography or maybe a simple candle holder?
pnwlover12 it's hard to say without seeing the granite, but I love subway tile backsplashes in a clean white color. Or they make glass tiles that could pick up on the gold flecks in your counters?

pnwlover12 I like sinners idea or subway tiles! What does your kitchen floor look like? We installed glass tiles as a backsplash and they made such a difference!!

I second the grey towels for Sinner's bathroom, and if it's not entirely too late, I'd move that towel rack higher. I like the idea of a generic landscape pic hung above that shelf, and I'd go with a silver frame if you're using grey towels.
For pnwlover's kitchen, the subway tiles are an excellent suggestion! Either that or plain glass tiles, but I think the glass might be too busy up against the granite.
Love the color of your bathroom. I have a similar color in my living room. I love yellow accents with it. But grey and white is a really nice and neutral palette.

I just did our kitchen (well, still being done...) and went with white subway tile and LOVE it. White cabinets and a dark granite and the white tile.
mrssinner402 - our bathroom is a similar color scheme. We have light aqua towels, white shadowboxes with seashells. I think black and white prints with your colors are really nice too.
pnwlover12 - we redid our kitchen almost 2 years ago and still haven't committed to a backsplash. I think we are going to do white subway tiles with a light gray grout. Sounds a lot like happyin14's kitchen
