It's tax day I'm going to have a long day today but then I'm done. Heading home tomorrow to see my family. I woke up and was feeling baby kick and I got really excited for the first time. We're all having babies soon I think my brain needed to get through tax season and now that I'm past that milestone it is more real to me and exciting. Wishing everyone a great week.
Good luck mladerri glad that you can put this behind you soon!
AFM, it's 4 am. I have been up since 145 when DD peed in her bed. We tried no diaper tonight. And then we don't have extra sheets for her bed so she came to bed with us. I am currently on the couch contemplating just getting up. It is so early though!

Good morning ladies. Today is Patriot's Day, otherwise known as Marathon Monday in Boston. About half the city has the day off, but alas, I'm not one of them. I'm annoyed because I sprained my ankle yesterday so now I'm hobbling around. I'm going to work from home to try to avoid walking and having to navigate the massive crowds that have descended on downtown. It's a gorgeous day and normally I really enjoy going out and watching the runners for a bit, but it doesn't look like that's happening today. Instead, I'm sitting with my foot propped and iced and a laptop in my lap. Bummer.
Morning ladies!! DS had a touch of a stomach bug last night so he's home with me today. I'm attempting to work and he seems to be feeling better so I'm hopeful that today will go smoothly. Fingers crossed!

Monday indeed! LOTS to do today to catch up from a few days off last week. I'm also making a presentation this afternoon to request $56k from our local United Way... After this, the rest of my week is pretty smooth sailing. I am hosting a 5k for my organization in 2 weeks, so after that my calendar is open to finish everything up I need to so i can sail into maternity leave.
Feeling so exhausted lately-I got enough sleep last night but still feel completely drained, like the baby is sucking all my energy out. Probably because of all the wake ups to pee/discomfort.....just getting me ready for those wake ups with baby!
Total drama on my local free yard-sale facebook group this morning. Some lady has been claiming practically everything that gets posted and others are getting pissed. So of course instead of handling it with an admin, there are all sorts of public call-outs. I mean, in a group of 6000 people it's kind of telling when your name is instantly recognizable, but not for being so generous to others.
soultrane, My local online yard sale group is SO strict. If you break one of the 1,000 rules, you are in huge trouble. Also, it's so hard to get anything. There are 17,000 people in the group and I swear there are some people that just sit on Facebook all day. So if it's something really good, I'm never first in line. I like selling stuff on there though!
frecklesnbrains - Enjoy the day at home out of the madness. Hope your ankle feels better.
soultrane - I hope he feels better soon. Stomach bugs are the worst!
The weather here is gorgeous. It's killing me to be at work. I wanted to stop for an iced latte to celebrate the weather on my way to work, but I had a rough commute (walk to work). I had to pee a little before I left and when I got about halfway I'm not sure what baby girl did but I definitely leaked some fluid of some sort so my casual stroll turned to a rushed walk hoping that nothing was running down my leg and contemplating if I needed to stop at cvs for new underwear. Of course it seemed far worse than it was when I got to the bathroom, but now I'm debating going back down for the latte
Happy Monday! It is the first weekday of vacation so I can finally start really getting things done as businesses are open. 2017 board! Time is going so fast! Today is our first childbirth class. I'm interested to see how it goes and how useful it is. It is three, two hour classes, which seems like a lot. But I guess I'll find out why.
AFM, today is my birthday! It kind of sucks that I can't get out and enjoy the weather with a walk or hike, but I suppose sitting on the deck for lunch will do. DH is taking me out to dinner tonight, I just need to decide where I want to go.
Oh, and I passed my glucose test! WOOT---all the ice cream!
nymama917, I always vote yes for lattes! Go treat yourself!
vivela, our L&D class with DS was 2 or 3 half-day sessions. It was a combo of videos, a workbook type thing, and her demonstrating the different tools that could be used in case of an intervention. There was also a lot of time spent on coaching, and helping the partners understand what mom would be experiencing. Funny enough, what I remember most about our course is that she incorporated a nice mom massage each time, under the guise of the partners learning how to soothe us during labor. It was great!
pbandj714, happy birthday and happy glucose test passing!! Enjoy the ice cream!!!
frecklesnbrains- that stinks about your ankle! I'm glad you can work from home though and avoid the crowds.
I made it to the gym this morning! I need to finish Downton Abbey, so this is a good way to kill two birds with one stone.
My MIL has called and added two more people to my shower. The invitations already went out. She says she feels bad she isn't more included, but my sister and friend have been including her. I sound awful saying this, but I just want it all to be over. You have to walk on egg shells with her, and I don't want her to say something to my sister or friend.
frecklesnbrains, I'm sorry about your ankle and missing out on one of the best days of the year.
pbandj714, happy birthday! Celebrate with an ice cream cake, because they're the best thing everrrrrrr.
nymama917, isn't pregnancy glamorous? I am pretty sure I snissed yesterday while in the shower. Thankfully, I was, you know, in the shower. I'd say to get that latte.
AFM, we bit the bullet this weekend and became van people - 2016 Honda Odyssey. I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT SO SO MUCH. DS was literally dancing in the trunk. We can fit a ton of stuff, which will make trips back East to see my family with two littles much easier. Oh, and I'm mom geeking over the DVD player and built-in vacuum. It is clearly the little things in life.
And uuugh Kevinmac... Sounds like how my family/MIL made my shower. Why can't people just leave the guest of honor out of the planning process? My showers (wedding and baby) had such drama and uncomfortableness because of crap just like that. Sorry!!
It's flooding where I live and dd's school was on a two hour delay. Normally, that would really eff up my morning, but we were knocking out last minute things before the flooring guys show up, so I'm relieved. We are getting a vrbo for the next three nights to escape the Reno. Packing everything at 33weeka sucked. It's going to suck more to unpack at 34 weeks. Ugh ugh ugh. But at least I'll have beautiful new floors!
