IVF+ICSI March 2016 (6R/5M/5F - 3 embryos on ice) 4/7/16: first ever BFP! EDD: 12/17/16 DS Arrived via C-Section 12/19/16! FET #1 June 2019 - 1 embryo didn't survive thaw & the one that did didn't stick around. BFN FET #2 September 2019 - last embryo didn't survive thaw.
We had our first ultrasound this morning at 7 weeks 1 day! There is definitely a baby in there, and it has a heartbeat of 148, measuring 7 weeks 3 days. I also met my new doctor (previous doctor is leaving the practice) and she seems lovely. My husband was baffled by the entire process, but very excited. They're sticking with the EDD I guessed, 12/15/2016. Scheduled our next appointment in four weeks!
Also, she asked me if we plan to do the first trimester testing for genetic defects. I'm trying to see if insurance covers it. I can't decide if more information but a possible false positive is more or less stressful than less information.
I finally have my first u/s scheduled for next Friday! This is going to be such a long week.
My doctor also referred me to the perinatologist because I had weight loss surgery 4 years ago and my nutritional needs scare him -- I have to take really high doses of fat soluble vitamins: A, D, E, and K. I have been off of my A since finding out, and I know my A levels are already at the low end of normal. He told me to start taking my A (25,000 IU's a day) and my D (100,000 IU's a day), until I meet with perinatology.
And just for fun, I also have MTHFR and finally got the okay to take baby aspirin, which I'd been putting off until I was told to take it.
Guys, I officially graduated from the RE today!!!! Both babies are measuring perfectly with HBs of 180. I may have cried when I hugged my nurse practitioner. She has been so amazing.

Hi ladies.. My Us should be here but my appt this morning was meh. Dr said I look right on track. She saw the sac and the yolk. She said she would suspect we will see and hear something in two weeks. I decided not to request betas cause I will drive myself crazy. Trying to take this one as good news. I am on schedule and squish is there but too small to see yet.

I've just responded to this in the other thread but wanted to add ((hugs)) from an internet stranger. On schedule is great news!
So lucky- no ultrasounds for me until 12 weeks I don't think! Wah I wish they would do 6 weeks as a standard. That would be a nice little treat while I'm feeling this yucky ha ha.
Same! No u/s or appt til 12 weeks, June 1. Sooooo far away
That's when mine is, too. We can help keep each other sane until then!
Ultrasound went well. Only one baby. Doctor says everything was right on track with the gestational and yolk sacs, and we saw a little flicker of the heartbeat. We didn't get to hear it because the dr says they don't like to do Doppler this early. I'll have another one in 2 weeks and then I should graduate from the RE.

Wait sdgal I reread my last post did I sound like an ass. Ugh sorry if I did. I didn't want to make it seem like you not seeing lil one was a good thing..hope you get my point. I hate writing things sometimes...totally comes off wrong.

No worries you are fine. I got what you were trying to say.
But we saw the heartbeat, we didn't get to hear it. The baby and the heartbeat was a tiny little thing squished between the yolk sac and the edge of the gestational sac.

We finally had our first ultrasound and first prenatal appointment today!! We got to see the baby and the heartbeat- amazing experience since my husband couldn't be there for our 15 month olds first appointments. After the appointment I had the first round of blood work done, however have to go back again in 2 weeks to turn in a 24 hour urine screen (past high blood pressure during DD pregnancy) and have even more blood work done- not my favorite thing.
Confirmed the due date of 12/1- looking forward to having the holidays off with our whole family this year!!
Now that everything is confirmed- we are planning to tell our moms on Mother's Day this weekend - we took a picture of our DD with a sign saying "I'm being promoted to big sister in December!" and a big sister shirt! Cannot wait- our moms will be completely surprised!
We had our second ultrasound today and we got to see a little flicker of a heartbeat! I am just 6w1d so I wasn't sure if it would be visible. But yeah, shit just got real. Crazy!!

Put me into the in limbo-after-first-ultrasound category. I had some spotting today so we went in for an ultrasound, they saw a sac measuring 6+1 (I would be 6+4 based on LMP) and a yolk sac but no fetal pole and no heartbeat. They said everything looked normal for now, I need to back in 2 weeks (TWO WEEKS) and hopefully we will see a little bean then.
sorry for the limbo bootsorhearts . why are they making you wait TWO weeks? so frustrating. at 7 weeks you should be able to see a heartbeat so it's silly they aren't letting you go in next week. big hugs and I hope the time goes quickly for you.
Had my first real appointment and ultrasound today - got to see baby measuring 8w0d (I'm 7w6d based on LMP) with heartbeat at 160 bpm. We told siblings and grandparents today, which was fun too .
