Have fun theotherjacobsons! I know it's hard to leave them but I'm sure you'll have a great time!
About to take DD to a playdate at the park. Then I need to get my ass in gear because the in-laws will get here tomorrow while we're at work and our house is a mess.
"You'll get a burst of energy in the second trimester! Nope. I've been tired since week one and during my second trimester I was tired as hell. Now in the third trimester at week 38, I'm like a lumpy, lethargic, sweaty bear and twice as hairy."
Nice to see a pregnancy list that agrees with us!!
I always do all my cleaning at the last minute fem. Have fun at the park!
I called the vet this morning to ask what they recommended for taking care of my dogs rubbed raw armpits and they actually wanted to see him. They gave me a steroid/antibacterial/antimicrobal ointment to put on his armpits and actually put him on oral antibiotics as well to be safe since they're pretty bad. Hopefully they help him heal up quickly because I still feel awful.
The vet did make me feel better about the fact that it happened though. I was explaining to her how he hadn't shown any signs on discomfort on the walk and she reassured me there was no way for me to know it was happening if he wasn't showing me in some way that something was wrong.
Gave him the first dose of antibiotics when we got home from the vet so I'm "working" from home until after lunch to keep an eye on him.
I officially think I have an anterior placenta, I am 19 + 5 and have yet to feel baby. Would they have saw this on the 12 week scan though? They didn't say anything. At least I'm hoping it's just an anterior placenta, last night I cried because I thought something was wrong. Can't wait for OB checkup on Monday and anatomy scan on Thursday next week!
I am going on a vacation with a few of my O14 mommies. We're headed to Vegas. We've got matching shirts and everything.
It's my first time away from my baby for more than one night. I miss her already.
Have so much fun! I'm sure it'll be hard, but you'll both do great. Think of how well rested you'll be when you get hm!
If you ladies go to a nice dinner, please let me know where you go and if you liked it. DH are going in a few weeks and I'm still trying to figure out where to go for our "fancy" dinner.

fem I always do my best cleaning under pressure. The random clutter actually gets put away! Lol
LadyNymeria I'm glad the vet made you feel better about it. I hope he heals quickly!
f14mama *hugs* I had an anterior placenta and I think I found out at my anatomy scan. If you're concerned, maybe call the office to see if there's anything from the 12wk scan that says it. Maybe they just didn't mention it to you.
I'm about to go crazy on my coworker. You do not need to reply all to every single work email. Especially when all you're doing is making sure everyone knows you said thank you or gave a compliment. I get it... you want everyone to think you're polite as fuck when in reality you're a passive aggressive ass hole.

Go easy on yourself. You're clearly a caring and concerned pet mom. I'm glad he's on the mend. I don't think he'll hold a grudge.
f14mama, I had an anterior placenta at my last pregnancy but was only told at the anatomy scan. This time, I asked at the 12 week ultrasound only because I knew it was even a possibility. Since it's not really a medical issue, they might not bother sharing at 12 weeks.
theotherjacobsons, have fun! I hear you on leaving your baby though.
I'm in training all day, but it's an interesting one about negotiations and cultures. My H works near my training and he went to a bakery to buy cronuts and bought me fancy chicken Caesar sandwich and a chewy chocolate. cookie. It's delicious.
**trigger warning** My H cousin gave birth to twins last night (after a very long IF road) and now she's in intensive care because she's losing too much blood. They waited so long for those babies. I heard that she's getting better though.
Eta: i forgot the awesome ketchup chips that I bought for myself

Wanted to share this. An old friend from high school posted this on facebook and I just really like it. Probably applies more to STMs but I think FTMs will enjoy it too.
And beware the last paragraph. Read it if you're ok crying at work/home or I'm just crazy sensitive right now. The FEELZ guise.

ETA: love the card!
MH and I went to the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Hotel for our anniversary. It was tres fancy. We managed to get a window seat. It is worth the wait if you can ask them to make that happen for you. You can see the fountain show at the Bellagio below. It was pretty magical and the food was so good. I mean, sooooo good.
For brunch I always recommend the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan. It is hands down the best place in town. They also have all you can drink mimosas/bloody marys.

I'll look into the Paris one. My H is suuuper picky though, is it "foodie" type stuff, ykwim?
Is the wicked spoon a buffet? If so I think I went there. It was a girls trip pre-DH so I was super hungover and everything is fuzzy lol
f14mama I have an anterior placenta as well and just started feeling baby around 20 weeks. It's still not much movement and usually just when I'm lying down and focusing on feeling it. They didn't mention anything at my 12 week scan but I asked at my anatomy scan and they confirmed. I hope you start feeling movement soon!
sodapop Sending good thoughts your cousins way! I hope the twins are doing alright.

I can't believe Prince died
I'm leaving work early today to take DD to an optometrist appointment & try to figure out a gift for DH's birthday on Saturday. Maybe I'll book a massage for him. Men are impossible to buy for!
