We got married at a historical conservation area in a big barn. We spend two years saving up for the wedding and it was a small, DIY wedding paid in cash. I'm really proud of that part! One of my bridesmaids even did our flowers.
My dearest sweet mom made her first and last wedding dress, mine. I think she stopped counting the hours at 1000. She also made my cocktail dress for dancing. I'm half Latin American so I decided to do a cha cha for my father daughter dance.
I love wedding threads! We got engaged in January and married in July...I had to plan it three times, essentially, when the dates I had for different reasons fell through and those locations weren't available for other dates. I'm still a little sad we couldn't do my first choice place. The place we ended up with was fine, a "wedding factory" type place, but nice. We wanted to get married quickly bc my grandmother is in her 90s and we wanted her there...and we wanted to get pregnant fast. Ha! Oh the irony... It was a fairly standard wedding, but my dad did our ceremony and the best part was probably our rehearsal dinner...all invited out on a sunset paddle boat cruise. Almost my entire side had to travel for the wedding so it was extra special to have another day with a bunch of people, under less stress.
Here are a few pics, PDQ I'll *poof* in a bit! They're pics of pics so a little blurry :/

Totally AWing more than just my dress because I loved my wedding so much. We got married in July 2012 (almost 4 years ago?! What?!) and it was an outdoor ceremony. We had about 160 people there.
Story (PDQ): Looking back, the only thing I would change is who I chose for bridesmaids. One girl was pregnant at the time. Her husband was a groomsman and MH's best friend. Turns out she was pregnant with someone else's baby and lied to us about the whole thing. She told me the day after my wedding. Then it turned into a "picking sides" kind of thing and since her husband was my husband's best friend she just kind of went away and we never spoke again. Not lovely to have someone I no longer know in all of my wedding pictures but nothing I can do about it now i guess.
Now pictures. PDQ.
My dress was from the Alfred Angelo Disney line and was EVERYTHING I could have imagined. I also loved my shoes, bouquet, and wedding cake SO MUCH.
kayladawn91 oh I feel you on the bridesmaid story. We decided to make my MOH'S fiancé a groomsman at our wedding. During their engagement he was caught meeting up with internet porn women and the wedding was called off. Now I have this guy in all my photos. My husband reminders me at that moment in time, we were all friends and happy. But...I want to just photo shop him out of my photos!
My wedding way in may 2010, ajd it was one of the nicest may long weekends i can remember. It was sunny and about 16C, which was great for taking pictures! Please excuse the pictures of pictures, i dont havevthe electronic files on my tablet.

I love this thread!
I am still kind of obsessed with my wedding. I love to look back at the pictures.
Anyway, we got married 1/12/13 in Clearwater Beach. We took a chance with the weather but it was gorgeous (80 and sunny)!
We got married in a grassy area overlooking the inter coastal of the Tampa bay. I wanted a beach feel but didn't want to have to deal with the sand. My wedding planner deemed our theme "seaside rustic." Yes, my wedding was full of burlap, lace and mason jars and I loved it. Haters gonna hate. :-P We threw in elements of seashells, starfish and other beachy stuff. I thought it was stunning. Our colors were coral, brown and taupe.
I love this thread! I'm using Tapatalk to post pics but will come back and edit.
We got married two years ago and it was such an incredible day. I loved every detail, the only down side was that I didn't get to eat and was so sick/faint at the end of the day. I bought my dress from David's bridal and it was really cheap, but exactly what I wanted. Simple and comfortable, didnt need any alteration, and I didn't blow our budget on a dress (I saved that for the letter pressed invitations, which was clearly my priority)
Here is my dress, and our awesome Rice Krispie cake (PDQ)

Yay!!! My favorite threat!!! Everyone is so beautiful . We got engaged in September and married the following August. I would never do it again but loved it! Future imaginary LO is lucky that I don't feel the need to do over. I'd still wear my gown and veil every day if it was practical.
We were married 11/11/11 in an old colonial inn. We had a our reception in a restored barn attached to the inn. My MOH is one the gorgeous brides above.
I love this!! Yall have such great taste. Sometimes I side-eye wedding threads because of the tacky and because I am a huge bitch.
I just got married in November, so I'm probably going to AW for a second, because I'm still so proud of how everything went. Last summer, I had contracts all ready to go on a really traditional hotel-type venue slightly out of town when I had a total panic attack and realized that I wanted a funkier, more intimate event right in the city. I lucked out when the gorgeous, historic church we semi-regularly attend had a weekend free on their fall schedule. Our reception was just three blocks away at the new location of one of my foodie-town's OG restaurant institutions. Our entire wedding weekend (the hotel, the rehearsal dinner, the after-rehearsal-dinner party at a really fancy pool hall, the ceremony, and the reception) all took place in a four-block radius, so everyone was able to park their cars at the hotel on Friday and leave them there until Sunday after brunch. I very brattily refused to commit to wedding "colors," so I did almost no decorations and instead threw in lots of little accents in gold and focused on light and dimension and visual interest everywhere. I had seen a photo of long tables decorated with dozens of candles in tall vases, and became absolutely obsessed with the idea, and I'm so glad that I didn't let go of that because you know who looks gorgeous in a room lit by 300 candles? EVERYONE. My photographer said he died a little when he walked into the room. I remember looking around at everything and doing a little dance.
I wore a simple, vintage-inspired Tadashi Shoji from BHLDN and borrowed a vintage mink stole from a dear friend and wore red lipstick and my grandmother's wedding ring, and I don't know how it could have been more perfect.
i LOVED my wedding dress. It was from David's, but originally strapless so I had them add on a halter because I have crazy broad shoulders. The beading and lacework was incredible! I let my flower girls pick out their own dresses, and they did a great job!
Our wedding was so much fun, we got married in a small church in my hometown, and had the reception at a country inn about a mile away. The Inn is owned by a girl I went to school with from pre-school up, the chef there is my moms cousin and our DJ was a family friend who I promised when I was 16 that he could DJ our wedding, and we were lucky enough to have my grandma in good enough health that she could be there for a short while.
I still have yet to have any pictures printed out, and our 3rd anniversary is coming up in September, so maybe I should get on that.

The dress (from Modcloth) :
Our wedding was kind of last minute since the date changed several times due to family availability constraints. And I was really sick (with Crohn's but we didn't know that at the time) so it was looking kinda grim and we wanted to do it before we couldn't. We literally planned it in a week. Landed on 12/02/13. Got married in this park right on the intercoastal (we're twinsies ladytiffany24). It was all family, less than 20 people. MH's aunt officiated for us and we had written our own vows. Well I did anyway, MH made his up on the spot because he procrastinated (even though he had been telling me for days he'd written them, sneaky husbandsies). It was a potluck dinner at a picnic table afterwards with grocery store bought cakes from Publix, which are the bomb dot com. We had to leave a little earlier than we planned because the wind picked up and it was chilly seeing as we were right on the water. Went home and watched Parks & Rec and played video games. Honestly, I wouldn't have had it any other way. We are pretty lowkey so the idea of a huge wedding was not our style really. No pics because I lost them on my old computer, boo.

kayladawn91 the Ariel Alfred Angelo was my dream dress back when I got married which was also in July 2012! Love your dress!! Which was it, Snow White? I used to know them all.
I will come back with my dress and all that good stuff!
We got married in Vegas. Looking back, I wish we had either eloped or waited to have a bigger wedding. I feel like we would have saved a lot of drama. His family was not stoked about Vegas and made sure we knew it. I also wish I had stuck with my short, retro dress plan. But am glad I got the shopping experience with my mom. Here is everyone that went on the party bus with us after the ceremony. We did everything backwards. We had heavy apps and booze in a giant suite before the ceremony, got married in that same room, then took all who wanted on the party bus.
Edit to add my bouquet. I made it myself with my Grandma's broaches. She had passed away earlier in the year, and it meant so much to my mom to have a part of here there.

Mine was Rapunzel. I tried on Snow White and Ariel and neither looked right on me. I just looked online to see which year's collection mine was from and I can't find the gown! So weird! It's not the one I see online in the 2012 collection, but I know it was Disney so that's strange.
Eta: I found it. Seems like it may have been from the 2011 collection.
