Anyone else's kid waking up "too early?" Not even that I don't want to get up- weekdays I'm up anyway. But he's waking up earlier and earlier and clearly not getting enough sleep. He's grumpy and tired and ready for a nap by 10:00. Which doesn't work because he'll only nap an hour and a half and then he's up for 7+ hours in a row. So our grumpy situation doesn't improve in the afternoons. I don't know what to do and I'm nervous at how this is going to go when the baby arrives.
aaemommy DD is waking up too early. It's mostly because DS is sleeping longer stretches so will wake between 430 and 6. I have to go get his bottle from downstairs, feed it to him and then go back downstairs to pump. I'm convinced it's my going up and down the stairs so early in the morning that ends up waking DD early. She used to sleep until almost 9. Now she's getting up around 7.
Although today DS was up for the day at 5:15. He only drank half his bottle then wanted to play. No kid, go back to sleep. I'm tired and cranky as a result

We went through this a while ago. If possible, try and keep nap time at his normal time. It might make late morning suck, but at least your afternoon and evening won't be total a total meltdown.
I only have to take a quiz then I'm all done with school!!!!!! Well except for my internships. But I get to walk in graduation May 6. I'm so excited to finally be done!!!!!!!!

aaemommy I tagged you in May 16 about this but this for anyone else who is struggling with early risers or kids who wake up at inconsistent times. We got this -
for DD and it's taken about a week but she seems to really understand the concept. Saturday I saw her look at the light when it was still red and lay back down, then pop out of bed as soon as it turned green. Sunday she woke me up right at 6am (which is when it turns green) but I didn't catch it on camera bc I was still asleep! Seems to be working well though!

Yay! So awesome, and such an amazing feeling! Great work!

YES! Do you think it's a developmental thing or something? It's really throwing off my mornings trying to get ready for work when he's awake. I already get up at 5:30 to try to get showered prior to his wake ups -- I just really don't want to get up any earlier.
I don't have much advice, but unless N is really crying, I keep him in his crib until 6. I'm hoping he'll understand that we don't get out of bed until then at the earliest. Haha! Wishful thinking! I also second what weeklyplanner, said about keeping nap time the same if you can make it work. That way his general schedule stays the same and it doesn't mess up bed time. My older son went through this stage and it did pass. I just can't remember when exactly.
Stupid b who was going to buy my portable dishwasher rescheduled once and then never showed to pick it up not once but TWICE. Sorry honey, it's back up for sale. Eta- and sold 3 min after I put it back up

I had a girls weekend away this past weekend. It was great. No kids. Just me and DH's sisters (whom I love)! DH was home with C. We went to a cooking class at stonewall kitchen then shopped and ate the rest of the time. It was great!!! Here's all of my food: Strangely, my time away made C get cuter
This Monday doesn't totally suck for me. Part of it does, that is the part that my car was broken into over the weekend and I am dealing with that shit show today that consists of police reports and insurance claims. BUT the part that doesn't suck is that I am "working" from home and no one else is here unless you count my dog. It is so incredibly peaceful and I plan to actually mop my floors and get a workout in before I pick up DS from DC.
