Our AC broke with a 6 day old baby..... We live in Texas. Now I have to deal with that tomorrow, a 3rd pedi appt in a week, and a possible baby hospital stay. Plus, baby doesn't seem to want to sleep tonight.

OMG I hope you're able to get the ac fixed quickly! I would die.

Being without the AC sounds miserable. Though I guess if O does have to stay in the hospital she wouldn't have to be hot at home if it isn't a quick AC fix. I still hope she doesn't have to stay though and that her numbers are better.

The huge storm finally rolled in and I am pretty sure there was some hail by the sound of it. I was too tired to get out of bed and check though when it was happening two hours ago.

Boo! I hate hail. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad.

Oh no! Hope it's an easy fix, not having an AC in Texas sounds awful even without a newborn!
I actually slept pretty well last night! I'm still pretty groggy this morning but I'm hoping that passes. I mean I still tossed and turned a lot and got up to pee several times but I wasn't awake for hours on end like I have been lately. Yay!
I hope O can avoid hospital stay!!! And that A/C gets fixed.
Dh is now a little freaked out tbat I may actually push a baby out my vagina! But it seems like now he is also much more excited to meet another little man. I think he is so relieved I may not need a major surgery!!
So last night around 6pm I started having pretty bad BH contractions and some crazy painful lightening crotch. I'm only 36 weeks and really need to make it to my due date bc of work. Soooo after finally getting DD down for bed at 8pm, I took some Tylenol and drank a bunch of water and ate dinner. They died down by the time I went to bed and this morning they are completely gone (except the lightning crotch).
But that freaked me the hell out because I was having difficulty moving/walking during the BH. For sure thought we were about to be headed to L&D! I am so not ready for that yet!!

I feel done today. Just DONE. My lower back and hips just feel awful, and my groin tendonitis is at a peak high. I will say that my feet feel great thanks to my pedicure, so I guess that's a win?
I determined today that I am still working up until my due date, but if I don't have the baby then, I will still go ahead and make it my last day. I cannot believe I've lasted this long.

Ugh- sorry for the pain partyinmytummy and hoping staying home today helps with the cramps fishbulb
westiemom AC out in hot places is the worst! Is your house dual zoned so you have some places to retreat to? That was a saving grace 2 years ago when one of our units went.

Slept so much better last night compared to the day before. Just quick wake ups and back to bed and DS was not doing marathon nursing. Of course now he's on the boob and I really need to be getting ready for work.

Are you going to tandem nurse? DS hasn't really nursed for a couple months but he is obsessed with my "muk" and I wonder what will happen when the baby comes. I've been trying to prepare him for the muk being for the baby but I think he is going to be really jealous.

I've been having a "go with the flow" / "who knows" attitude but at this point I'm fairly certain we will be tandem nursing. We've been talking about how DS only needs a "little bit" of mommys "nai nai" (milk) but that "mui mui" (little sister) will need a lot. He can say / repeat these things but I'm sure actually seeing it in practice will be different. He mostly just nurses over night so I expect that to be sort of crazy. We shall see!
This is awkward. I'm in the waiting room at my doctors and this one couple is fighting pretty publicly.
Anything interesting? Or lame fighting?
It's more bizarre than anything. He keeps trying to rub her belly and she keeps telling him not to touch her. She keeps turning to look the other way so he will move to the other side (so she is looking at him) and tries to rub her belly and whisper in her ear. Then she tells him to knock it off and stop Touching her. Now she's sniffling and she told him to "just go away already".
I'm glad to hear that many slept better last night. I had a pretty rough night the previous night so I took 1 Tylenol PM and slept great last night. My hips and back have been killing me in the morning though.
I also feel stretched out and swollen in my lady bits area. I'm thinking it is because baby is so low and he is stretching out my pelvic floor.
teraiin, my H would be all up in that drama. He is like a moth to fire when it comes to public drama. He will literally stop what he is doing to gawk, it is so embarrassing.

This happened to us last time (we were in south carolina). The landlords were total turds about fixing it, too. We spent a few nights sleeping in our camping trailer that has a window AC unit. So not fun.
