Half the time I buy a shower present, I leave a note saying no thank you card is necessary. Most of those people and I are now on "no thank you card" terms now and it's awesome.

No new/expecting mom wants to write thank you's. I just send a pic of the kid using/wearing whatever. When DD is old enough to do them herself, she'll earn that right of passage.
I don't even really like getting cards because I don't want to throw them out but I don't really want boxes of cards stored in my house lol!
I also have this problem.
My coworker cuts the picture off the front and glues them onto the front of blank cards/cardstock and makes cards for the following year. She said the trick is to make sure you don't recycle it to the same person.
I'd be way too lazy for one thing... and also I feel like I'm defacing a gift or something...

Tried perineal massage for the first time even though it's not likely to help much considering I'm almost 37w! Holy hell it did not feel good (not that I was expecting it to).
FWIW, I never bothered and my kid came out in 2 pushes with minimal tearing. Like babycaps says, labor down!
Also never did perineal massage and didn't tear either. #anecdote Although I can't say it only took 2 pushes... More like 25 lol.

At the public library I used to work at we had a volunteer that took the fronts of cards and made them into bookmarks.
