Good news is that Will has been a champ at nursing. Bad news is that my nipples are so sore! I used a shield with DD so I never had this level of soreness with her. How long did it take other mommas for this to improve?
My sister just gave O her first bottle while I'm gone. I know it's time (LC suggested 4-6 weeks to intro a bottle) but I'm scared I will go home and she will hate the boob. We will see!
How much did you start with? I am looking to introduce but can't for the life of me remember how I did it last time.

I know you weren't asking me but last time we did 2 oz, then another 1/2 oz when he didn't seem satisfied. I think 2-2.5 oz is pretty typical.

We did 2 oz. My sister thought she might need more so I will try 2.5 oz next time. We plan to have my DH give one every evening.

I used dr. Browns with DS and they were such a pain in the ass to clean. Right now we are using the medela bottle with DD and they are fine. (She gets one formula bottle everyday)

I am still waiting on improvement. I've been using lots of lanolin and a nipple shield a couple times a day (but it's a PITA).

I felt like we were nursing all the time but DD lost almost 10% of birthweight in 2.5 days. We go back on Mon for a weight check ... I really hope my milk comes in today. I think it's starting.

Hang in there. Same happened with E. Milk came in on day 4ish. It was a rough start but she's growing now. Yours will too!!!
Is anyone eating a special diet or taking anything to increase supply? I hate not knowing how much DS is getting and since we're supplementing with formula, I worry my supply isn't enough.
Trying to keep this little guy awake to eat. Didn't have this problem with his brother!
DS had to kept being woken up during nursing when I was in the hospital. It was so frustrating. I had to keep stripping him down to just his diaper and then keep annoying him during feeding to keep him sucking.

this is us all the time.
After a few days he got much better. Now he can still be swaddled and eat.

All I'm really doing is drinking water like its my job.
A friend gave me a package of mothers milk tea but I haven't tried it yet. I also have oatmeal i could be eating.
It bothers me also that I don't really know how much DS is eating but so long as his weight checks are going well I'm trying not to stress.

I was so worried I bought a baby scale on Amazon. Best money I have ever spent!

I have a supply problem. (Lactation consultant confirmed with a weighted feed followed by pumping.) I am currently pumping as much as possible - after every time I nurse if possible but that doesn't always happen because I'm out and about or whatever - plus I don't do it MOTN.
I am taking MotherLove More Milk Plus drops (http://www.amazon.com/Motherlove-Breastfeeding-Supplement-Supports-Lactation/dp/B000IT49NW/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1463856194&sr=8-2&keywords=mother+love+milk+plus) as well as Goat's Rue capsules. I drink as much water as I can.
I put brewer's yeast, oatmeal, and flax seeds in my protein shake each morning.
Sorry to report that so far I haven't seen a supply increase but most people say these things work. My body just fucking sucks.

The only thing I've done so far is drink tons of water (128oz yesterday) and eat oatmeal for breakfast everyday. I know if Cam doesn't eat enough to be satisfied he's fussy and keeps rooting around and we can't satisfy him with the paci or holding him. I'd guess that if he's satisfied then he's getting plenty to eat!

Just wanted to say I'm sorry you're having issues with supply. Sounds like you are doing everything you can to boost it. Not exactly the same, but when DS1 was 9 months old we went away on vacation without him and despite pumping my supply tanked. I did the extra feedings/mothers milk tea but also made lactation cookies. I think they helped (plus they were yummy and a great excuse to eat cookies). I'm mobile now but when I have a chance I will post the recipe I saved on my computer.
Hang in there, you are trying your best and if at the end of the day it doesn't work at least you can say you tried everything (but I hope it does work).
