Well it's Wednesday and I'm up, a full hour before I need to be. I have lots of feels today, it is my dd first birthday and if everything goes well we will be seeing our new baby for the first time this morning. Ahhhh
I got "lost" on my morning walk with ds. I knew where I was but it was not where I intended to be. My plan was to walk down a certain street but evidently I wasn't paying attention and crossed it. It added an extra mile to our walk. Is it too early to claim baby brain? We're going to a baseball game tonight! This will be our third game this season (my fil has season tickets) and ds loves it! There's so much for him to look at and so many people for him to flirt with. I don't particularly like baseball but I enjoy the energy of being at the stadium and the food. Now to decide what I'm going to order...
meeggaannww, what a big day! Congrats on making it through the first year!
I have an annoyingly busy day at work today. Nothing interesting going on in life right now. I don't want to wish my life away, but our first appointment seems so far away (6/16!), and it needs to hurry up and get here.
All day meeting today for me...which means no time for TCF or general vegging on the Internet. I hope I can make it though without falling asleep in my chair.
Also gotta find a way to not drink during my work dinner without outting myself to the whole team...

Ahhh meeggaannww! Huge day indeed! Happy birthday to your LO and good luck at your appointment.
opheliainwaders, that's awesome! I'm still waiting for my almost 4 year old to do the same.
lakegirl, have fun at the game tonight! Stadium food is the best.
I am craving all the savory/salty food lately. I'm sitting here at work eating hash browns, watery (eww but it's all they had) scrambled eggs and sausage. Last night I had a huge craving for pepperoni and green olive pizza. My H just shook his head.

meeggaannww, happy birthday to you DD! Seriously, what an emotional day: a 1st birthday AND seeing baby for the first time?! Enjoy!
opheliainwaders,I dream of the day this happens. DS is still going strong in diapers. He "tries" on the potty at day care but has never actually peed/pooped. He will announce that he is peeing/pooping but we have yet to make it to a toilet on time. The plus side is I use this as an excuse to keep buying more diapers (we CD).
Kids are testing again. It isnt a high-stakes state test so I can actually be on my computer, hooray!

meeggaannww, good luck today and happy first birthday to your DD!
I was so thirsty this morning I woke up and chugged a glass of water, a bad idea since somehow that made me nausea. I think the dry heaving has stopped for now. I can't wait for 13 weeks. I have a meeting this morning and hopefully not too much else for the rest of the day. I prefer to interact with as few people as possible right now.
How much water do you typically drink a day? I think my headaches yesterday were from lack of water. I'm trying to get over 60 ounces but it feels impossible, already I wake up at least once in the middle of the night for the loo.

peaseblossom55, I try to drink between 70-80 ounces of water a day. Sometimes I do better, sometimes worse, but I always have water with me. I still wake up with a dry mouth and feeling dehydrated in the morning, so I'm guessing I need to up it further. I've heard 100 ounces is ideal, but I'm not sure if that's realistic for me.

peaseblossom55, I have a 33oz Camelbak water bottle and I drink about 2-3 bottles worth of water every day. I have always had extreme thirst, even pre-pregnancy. I think that's like 12 glasses of water?

wow summergirl1211, heybulldog56, I wish I could drink that much. I always have water with me too. While I am thirstier pregnant I can't seem to drink that much water. I guess I need to figure something out to increase water consumption.

I've always had a hard time drinking water so I set goals. I have a 32 oz. cup at my desk and tell myself I need to drink one in the morning and one in the afternoon before I can go home. Between water in the morning that I chug because I'm so thirsty and another 10-20 oz. at home at night, it really helps. What about adding lemon or lime wedges, or cucumber? I like to have some flavor in mine too.
So I just spilled a whole cup of scalding hot coffee on my legs! Thankfully I was smart enough to tear off my pj pants and other than tingling burning skin I don't think I have any actual damage. Hot damn.

ashtog, oh no! I hope it's ok. heybulldog56, summergirl1211, really good idea on adding some flavor to the water. I also need to set goals for my water drinking and stick to them!
peaseblossom55 a minimum of 100 ounces. It's a crazy habit I got into during my last pregnancy and breastfeeding. I have a soda stream to make fizzy water which makes it easier for me and I second heybulldog56 about putting lemon/lime/orange/cucumbers in it to change it up. I also scheduled my drinking based on my teaching schedule and still stick to it: one liter before lunch, one in the afternoon, and one once mh gets home.

lakegirl, I do the same thing! Drinking water also gives me something to do when my students are working independently and I am just standing around waiting to be useful.
Similar- I try to make sure I drink one before lunch, then one after lunch before kids get home, then another after supper when we are just hanging around and I'm editing

I also had specific classes I would have my snacks in (per the doctors order) and my kids were great about reminding me about it. I loved all the "Hey Miss, where's your snack?" "No cheese stick today?" "You need to eat your snack!" I worked with a tough a population of kids and I was touched and surprised how invested and protective of my pregnancy they were. One time one of the new kids started cursing me out and a couple of my kids verbally freaked out on him.

Ugh, I think today is my last day wearing my regular dress pants to work. I wanted to wear my maternity pair from last pregnancy but they were wrinkled and I didn't have time to iron this morning. After my huge breakfast my pants are now super tight. Womp womp.

lakegirl, are you at an alternative school? I work with a tough-ish population. Nothing like an alternative school but we are title 1 and have our fair share of issues. I love it
I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through this day. The exhaustion is sooo real. I work in sales and have to be self motivated and I'm just not feeling it.
Thanks ladies! What an amazing morning so far, we saw the new baby, strong healthy heartbeat, measuring 3 days ahead and an adjusted due date of 12/30. Dd has been so good all morning, I had to wake her up to get to the appt on time but she was a trooper, just laid down for her morning nap which is usually around 2 hours so dh and I are going to take a nap too!
vlagroupie, exhaustion is kicking my ass as well. I just want to sit around and stare into space or sleep. Doesnt help that I have now developed an aversion to coffee...
