Crap. I'm sorry--that totally sucks. I am the queen of flat tires. I had FOUR in 18 months. We just bought a new-ish car last week and DH practically hugged them when they offered us insurance coverage on the tires in case of a flat... Hoping you guys got it taken care of with minimal stress!
Daniel Tiger was the only show I let DD watch when she was 2. Everything else was annoying and/or I thought the characters were too rude. She watches a lot more stuff now but I'm far pickier than DH is so she gets away with watching whatever she wants Saturday/Sunday mornings but I won't complain because it buys me an extra hour or so with DD2.
Facebook told me it's our 10 year anniversary today.
I love Peppa Pig. British accents are so cute! For kids shows I also like Super Why, Octonauts, and Little Einsteins. Oh and Magic School Bus is in Netflix, so I let the kids I nanny watch that sometimes!

How can this kid know it's 5am every morning?!
We've only had one day when he hasn't woken at 5am but otherwise it's usually on the dot. And getting him back down and through to a decent hour is tough, although it usually happens about 6am.
5am is just too early to think about starting the day.
It's rainy and cold here, less than 70 and has been this way for 2 weeks. Now it looks like the weather is supposed to go from being in the 80s to being in the 50s in the location where we are supposed to go on vacation in a week. I will actually cry real tears if I don't even get warm weather on vacation.

Bummer. I feel ya. I'm supposed to go to the ocean this weekend it appears to be the only weekend of the summer full of rain. Ugh
When I watched my best friends daughter earlier this year I put on Daniel Tiger for her while she ate dinner. After that I had "grownups come back" stuck in my head for weeks lol.

I'm fine with 5:00 a.m. right now because the sun is already out here. But in the winter when it doesn't get light til after 7:00- nope nope nope. Then 5:00 is too early!
I'm 12w PP and my lady bits still hurt. I got my first PP period a few weeks ago and it was uncomfortable to use tampons (not just to put it in, but also to wear). Is anybody else still uncomfortable? DH and I have only attempted sex once, around 7w PP. He asked me last night when we could try again. But I have zero desire to do something that hurts. Anyone else experience this?

Does it hurt in general, or just when you try to put something in it? (That sounds so crass, sorry!)
After DS1, it hurt to have sex for at least 6 months. We tried and failed several times. I guess I had some significant scar tissue from a first degree tear. Ob have me some estrogen cream to soften the area and we used lots of lube. Eventually, I was able to get past it, but it took awhile. It might be worth a check at the doctor if it's really bothering you.

Mostly just putting things in haha. Occasionally it will hurt randomly, like it feels swollen.

With DS1 I was still having pain on a regular basis at 12 weeks pp and had some major issues with my scarring. I needed surgery to fix it, but my case was severe. After my surgery I was given an estrogen cream to help heal and hydrate and it worked wonders. If you are having pain daily I would make an appt to get checked out and they can make sure it isn't a bigger problem. Don't put up with pain if you don't have to!
I can't stand Daniel Tiger as I find him and Caillou super whiny. I also find it too sweet, too good, etc. When the boys were younger they liked Curious George, Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam, and Tumble Leaf. Now we rarely watch TV but they like dinosaur train and the older one likes some short Lego cartoons (not the ninjago stuff yet though).
Fireman Sam was my least favorite just because it's so dull but I didn't mind the boys watching it.
OMG yes! Soooo whiny. S loves loves loves Masha and the Bear on Netflix. But no matter what we watch I also manage to get the theme song stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Today was my first day of class on campus since the fall semester. I got all the way to the classroom and to find out today's class was cancelled. I was so bummed. I was looking forward to 4 hours of personal space.
jags8 when I thought I was getting my period I made the mistake of putting in a tampon and it hurt. DH and I have also not attempted sex at all yet. I have heard the same from friend that it takes a good 6 months to get back to normal down there.
M has been scream crying for 2 hours. I had him in front of the air conditioner and that at least calmed him a little. His rectal temp is 100.1 but that's after 30 minutes in front of the air in just a diaper. I'm worried he could have an infection but he also won't sleep or eat which could be causing the fuss. Parenting is hard.
DH is already looking forward to sleep training. I have been trying some things for getting S ready for when I go back to school since currently we spend most naps with him on me. But my question (and this may be a dumb one) is: is sleep training necessary? I guess I just thought babies figured out sleep on their own. Also, what methods has anyone used that worked or didn't work? I am wanting to be prepared and researched for when we do sleep train.
jags8 I am too chicken to try anything near my vagina at 12 w PP. I haven't even attempted sex. MH is going crazy I'm sure, but he's not said anything yet. He's been very polite about it.

No, sleep training is not always necessary. Some babies are naturally good at self-soothing, and will go to sleep easily on their own. Also, you don't have to sleep train if you don't want to. There is nothing wrong with going to get baby when they cry. It's your personal decision.

I'm glad to hear that. When I told some of my family that I wasn't sure about sleep training they made me feel like I was dumb and crazy.
