This is helpful, thank you. I am consistently getting 4 hour stretches now so not eating as often. I was thinking growth spurt too. I have no idea how much she weighs. I will try to weigh her later.
I said ds above but it's my dd. I'm not used to having a girl. Lol
Haha I read this and was like "I swear she said DS!" I actually called Finn Liam the other day and called Liam the dogs name...

My child was 7 lbs 1 oz on Monday finally. She's a month on Saturday. She's eating about 3 oz each feed but she's sleeping longer stretches at nights I wake her during the day. Sometimes I can get 3.5 oz in her!
My hospital recommended using the pre-made formula in the cans to start. At what point did you ladies switch over to powder?
Also, I know we're only 24 hours in, but DS2 is super lazy with eating and I can barely get him to eat half an oz in a sitting... Any tricks to get him to eat more? I always do a diaper change to wake him up, and tickle his chin to encourage eating.
My girls were lazy at first too. We would strip them and change and wipe them when they would fall asleep to wake them up. It's such a shame to wake a sleeping baby.
Thanks! I've been keeping track of his daily totals and now he's exceeding what the pedi recommended. I think he needed to learn how to eat!

How old are your LOs and how much formula are they eating in one sitting (approximately)?
L is two weeks and is eating 2 oz at a time, but last night wanted 4 oz at a time so I am curious about what others are doing.
Dd is 5.5 weeks and just up to 4 oz but isn't always consistent. We have feeding issues and weight issues. she eats about every 3-4 hours, but she's been doing longer stretches at night.

Dd will be 7 weeks this coming Tuesday (aug 16). We offer 6oz, she will eat anywhere from 3-5.5oz.
Obviously they won't ever eat the same amount at every feeding and since you can't over feed a newborn with either formula or breast milk, I make my bottles a little bigger than I expect them to eat and let them go until they tell me they're done. Generally, baby should be eating about 2.5oz per pound of body weight per day. If they're doing around that overall amount each day, individual feeding amounts don't much matter.

We are at 8 weeks. They are sleeping longer at night so we moved up to 5 oz. Evie usually wakes up for a MOTN bottle and Finn doesn't so we added the extra ounce this week hoping that she'd sleep too. So far so good. So they eat 5-6 bottles @ 5 oz each a day, and are probably close to 10lbs each (Evie might be more).
Anyone know how the similac rewards program works? If they sent me a membership number, is it associated with my personal info?
I got a sample pac in the mail with 3 coupons and I'm thinking of posting it for free on a local fb baby group. Don't want to give out the coupons with membership number though if they're linked to me.

With similac I have to sign in with my email and password. I don't think there's a way to use the membership number. That's my guess, I would call similac to make sure.

The membership number links back to you so you can earn more points. As you earn more points, they send you more coupons and samples.

Around 4oz. But sometimes it's just 2oz and other times it's 6oz. Last night he had 7oz MOTN. I'm feeding on demand and he's all over the place, so I have no idea how often (I'm too lazy to track!). He's 7 weeks.

Dd is 11.5 weeks and has recently started sleeping way longer stretches, so she's now eating between 4-6oz each feeding and 5-6 feeds per day.
I throw the nipples and bottle parts (Dr. Browns) in the Medela microwave quick clean bag once a week.... If I remember. Lol. I wash bottles with Dawn thoroughly everyday, though.
I hand wash bottles daily with hot water and soap with a bottle scrubber. I use Dr Browns so I also make sure to scrub all the little parts really well also. I throw everything in the dishwasher once every other week.

The girls must be chunks! They eat 6 oz every 3 hours, but they also don't do MOTN feedings so it probably evens out.
We hand wash the lids and rings that hold the nipples and then run the bottles and nipples through the dishwasher. Other wise it takes the whole thing to wash them all.
