Ds2 is not really wanting to nurse could be ear infection, teething, maybe weaning (but don't think so at 9 months). Anyway, it leads to a lot of frustration and sore boobs.
Baby is teething hard, his temp has been b/w 99 -100 and I assumed it's teething related. But it randomly jumped to 101.3 and about 10 minutes later dropped again. Now I'm nervous he's fighting something. I need this house to be healthy for longer than a week.

Ugh, you guys have had a rough go. Hopefully it's nothing!

We are doing the same thing. I haven't checked his temperature, but he feels like he has a low grade fever and is fussy. We are on day 7 of 10 for antibiotics (double ear infection) and teething. It's impossible to know what is what.

He had a double EI last weekend 🙁. I forgot how tough the baby stage is when they can't tell you what hurts.
Ds is still once again falling off the weight chart. Pedi isn't too concerned because he's been healthy and on track developmentally. She thinks he may just eat until he's not hungry, but doesn't fill up; I think that sounds like an accurate description of him. I may try some formula in a cup for extra calories, but he eats a ton of solids, so I'm just not sure what else to do for him.

Are the solids high fat? Maybe focus on calorie dense foods instead of quantity.

Yes, we do a lot of high-cal/fat foods. He eats real oatmeal with peanut butter almost every morning. He eats avocado and all the meats, and pretty much anything I give him. He's not a big fan of yogurt, but I'm gonna try offering smoothies since he's a big fan of cups now. We scheduled a weight check for 6 weeks just to make sure we don't get to a year and realize there really is a bigger problem, but his pedi said we don't necessarily need to do anything different in that time. Of course I'd like to help him and give him more buffer since he's now below 3rd percentile, but it may just be who he is.

I think I understand your battle. It sounds like my ds2 a little. This kid is a great eater. I also started adding formula because I can't keep up. He eats whatever meals we eat too. At his 9 month he was 17lb 10 oz. height was good. So 65%tile ht and 15%tile wt.
MH just gave T his first bottle! He did great but he said he probably wanted more. I am only getting about 2-2 1/2 ounces when pumping. Wondering if I have to pump longer. Also, it hurts to pump. I already switched to a smaller cup size. Wondering if I have to go even smaller?

2ish ounces sounds appropriate for his age. Did he pace the feed?
What time of day are you pumping? Your output should typically be highest in the morning. I'm

He didn't pace the feed. He just gave him the bottle and I was in the other room pumping to replace that feed. He came in when I was finishing. So it took around 15 minutes. He said he burped him and that settled him for a bit but he still seemed like he wanted more. He does seem to eat a little more between 6-8pm. He was crying a bit so I am feeding him more now. I wonder if it is the time of day or that he really is eating more than 2 ounces. I have also been pumping in the morning. I am only pumping once a day for now.

Evening is notorious for baby fussiness. The witching hour. Cluster feeding is normal. I'm betting he got enough from the bottle and he's just being fussy because of the time. I went through this with both boys.
meggypoo1 I would also say the witching hour is the culprit especially given his age. It's also the comfort he gets from nursing. For the first 2 months I was basically attached to DD2 from 4:30ish till she finally went to bed around 9. DD1 was the same way.

Right. It's crazy. He is eating again right now too. It's fun for bedtime with Clara. 🙄

Glad to hear it's not just him. I'm going to have DH give him his bottle earlier tomorrow and see what happens.

I have no comment on the nursing but bedtime for a while was the worst. I hope it gets better for you soon 😊
meggypoo1 bedtime here is also kind of a shit show here. DD1 will let DH give her a bath & stuff but it's such a battle and really both kids just want me. I think it will be easier when I can bathe both girls together and stuff. I can't help it that I'm such a fun, cool parent, right? 😉
The baby has a double EI and is cutting his front top teeth. He's on his second day of amoxicillin but now he's refusing bottles. He had 6oz at 6:30am, another 6oz at 1:45pm, and 2.5oz at 5pm and now at 7:45 I still can't get him to take more. I gave him Advil about 30 minutes ago but can't get him to drink anymore. I even tried giving it to him with a medicine syringe and he fought it hard. When do I start to worry?

He is he for wet diapers?
So far still wetting. I'm sure the small 2.5oz helped with that.
