Central PA, so... The Amish, grammatical atrocities (like saying "red up your room" instead of clean up your room; leaving "to be" out of phrases like "the yard needs mowed"), weird food like scrapple and chicken pot pie that has no crust, and farms.

shawnabm1320 soooo chicken pot pie with no crust? It's just the filling? When I was in PA, my church did chicken pies which were chicken pot pies without the vegetables. But cannot imagine no crust.

Around here when you say chicken pot pie, it's basically a stew with chicken, carrots, potatoes, celery, and these homemade egg noodles that are thick and amazing. So there's a flour product, it's just not in "pie" form. You drop the noodles in the hot soup and they cook up right there and thicken the soup at the same time!

Okay, would eat. Was picturing a pie plate of chicken pot pie filling. (I'd probably still eat that but hello, pie crust is amazing!)

I'm square in the middle of Maryland, north of Baltimore - we have all four seasons; beaches, mountains, and plains (the state is sometimes called mini-America); of course old bay and crabs; natty boh beer; Utz chips; grandma Berger cookies... I mean I could go on and on!

I'm a Mainer now (transplant), so I have to go with wicked good lobstah!
oldbaylover1024 I assumed you were a Marylander! I grew up in Columbia and worked at Camden Yards one summer. When ever we go home, my parents get us G&M crab cakes. Delish.
I live in London, Ontario. Home of the Labatt Brewery, the second-largest rib festival in North America (allegedly) and *cough* Justin Bieber *cough*... sorry about that one, world.
I am waaayyy out here on the west coast. Transplant as well. Hmm.. In-N-Out burgers? I live in SoCal.. so.. umm.. Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, beaches, mountains, and everything in between?

I really hate the chicken pot pie with crust but this sounds good and I would try this. Now I'm going back to see where this is at in case I'm ever in that region.
Illinois/Chicago - we have Italian beef, deep dish, amaaaaazing German food, Chicago style hot dogs, polish sausage, Eli's cheesecake. Come here to diet non food related we have the lake, great sports teams, cute Irish American guys, funny accents, tall buildings, farms, corn, beans, no hills... Some good movies are based here like home alone, breakfast club, planes trains and automobiles.
I also lived in Saint Louis and DC and I love those cities too! I would move back to STL in a heartbeat.

If you're ever around Lancaster, I'm sure an Amish style restaurant would have it.
Or if you're in the area, pm me and promise you won't murder me and I'll make you a batch
EmMilAlly I fell in love with Italian beef when I lived in Illinois. And we used to go to this byob, hole-in-the-wall, middle of nowhere pizza place with the most amazing Italian beef pizza. It's become the only thing I miss about my time in Illinois.
