Sorry heartbot! FX things work out finding a new job.
I just bought a LilleBaby carrier.... sigh. Did not need it but I like that she can face out in that one. Plus it's donut print and looks so freaking cute.
Geez, heartbot, that sucks that they just f'd you over like that. I'm so sorry. I hope this leads to a better opportunity for you, and I the meantime, you can have some extra QT with your kiddos.
@east, or any baby wearer, when can babies face out?
I *think* four months, but I believe it has more to do with size and milestones (eg holding head up, etc).
The website said 5 months but I'm sure a 4 month old with good head control would be fine for short periods. LO still tucks chin to chest pretty quickly so I probably won't face her out right away but it won't be much longer.

Late to the party, but I'm so sorry about your job, heartbot. That's seriously shitty. I hope something better comes your way quickly. As for the sitewide thread, that was a nope--I tried to keep up, but holy speed of light. I just kept love-titting posts but didn't jump in!
Concerning outward-carrying. Be sure it's a carrier specially designed for outward carrying, because most are not. And that can totally fuck up their hips.

Has anyone been able to keep up with the sitewide FFC/UO thread? Sweet baby Jesus, it moves fast.
That thread confirmed I have some very unpopular opinions and flameful confessions. Lol
As someone who comfort nurses because my baby won't take a pacifier and it otherwise takes forever to walk around rocking and jiggling him to get him to settle for sleep, that part makes sense to me.

My grandpa just passed away. I was not close with him at all, but still feel guilty for not feeling as sad as I should. I am more sad for my mother, who is a mess right now. Has anyone else ever dealt with these kinds of feelings?

Yes! When my dads dad passed everyone was so sad, but I didn't really have many feels. I wasn't very close to him and he was an awful drunk, but I felt so bad for my aunts, they were crushed.
