lovemyk have you tried double swaddling? I used to take a receiving blanket folded into 3rds to "pin" his arms down, then swaddled him. Eventually that stopped working so I would strip him down to his diaper (so he wouldn't get too warm), swaddle him with the A&A muslin wrap, then tuck him inside a Swaddle Me.

Donuts sound so good! The baby did amazing in her crib for the first night. My toddler on the other hand ended up in our bed at 4am and we all got terrible sleep after that. At 6 he screamed, "wake up! It's my birthday!". His birthday is in Nov.
I'm thinking of leaving LO with a friend this evening for a few hours so H and I can have some time together. I've never left her that long before but she starts daycare next week and I feel like I try time away before then. I'm nervous

I think that's a great way to ease in before daycare! I was really nervous leaving DS too, but we all have to do it eventually. And a date night is totally necessary sometimes! Try to have fun!
Autocorrect just tried to change "lovemyk" to "lovemaking." That could have been super awkward if I didn't catch it.
I bought donuts for my daughters birthday breakfast tomorrow and I've been restraining myself from eating them all day.
LO has broken out of his SwaddleMe twice already tonight and screamed like crazy each time. Seriously!?
I got so sick of S breaking out of his swaddle me wrap sack that we just started the process of no swaddling. It didn't help he was working so hard to get out that he was making himself spit up...every. Time. Ugh.

I had a really hard time leaving my first. I had to remind myself that the worst that would happen is he would be fussy or wouldn't eat/sleep as much. Go out and enjoy yourself!

We haven't left our LO one yet so I hear you. But it's so nice you have a friend who is able to watch her and you guys can get out and have some alone time. Have fun!
I need to clean the house, it is a disaster because I though I would try organizing and gett rid of some things, but of course that starts with getting everything out first (just one room, but the rest of the house has a weeks worth of uilt up clutter). Cleaning girls come tomorrow, so I have to get things picked up.
DH is going out of town for the week. This will be the first time I will have the 2 kids on my own for more than a few hours. I am scared. It is one thing when it is just entertaining for a few hours, but having to be productive, and get off to work and daycare, and get everyone fed, and clothed, and to sleep on my own. This is going to be a really rough week. I need to get to the store to get some easy dinners. I am in awe of single parents.
And then on top of all of that I have a peridontist appointment tomorrow for a torn papilla (sp?). Hopefully that is not too awful, I hate having dental work done

Do it! You deserve to have some quality time together. Baby will be just fine!
Good luck Courtniko! Do whatever you need to do to make the week easier! Do you have any friends or relatives nearby who can help out a bit in the evenings?

Thanks! I will probably be pulling out a few tricks that we normally try to avoid, like letting DD watch more tv than normal, and maybe eat some less healthy dinners that are easier. A friend is probably going to come by and help a few nights, so that will make a huge difference.
All 4 of us now have fevers. Last night was the worst. I finally fell asleep around 5am. I really hope I get a nap today and some sleep tonight. This virus is no joke. Also, having to bf when you are this sick is like some kind of punishment. I really need a break. Sorry to be a downer.
Courtniko, wow you have a lot going on. I'm glad you have some help and it's totally ok to rely on tv and have easy dinners. You will make it through and have a clean house at the end of it! Good luck with your teeth/mouth. I hope the procedure is quick and easy. I have had my unfair share of dental work over the years so I understand!
DH just took the little man to visit his aunt. I really should take a nap, but I need to take advantage of no baby to clean. My house is so filthy. There is so much dog hair everywhere that needs to be swept/vacuumed. Also, DH has been really pissing me off, staying out getting drunk and sleeping at his parents for the last few weekends. His clothes are all over the house, so I'm throwing it all on his closet floor, clean or dirty.
