Everyone is talking about eating well, and I am here hoping DD falls asleep soon so I can get some ice cream. This is why I will never lose the weight that I need to lose.

Me too! As soon as both kids are asleep I'll be on the couch eating ice cream.
Sad because I feel like I barely saw ds tonight. Had to stop at the pharmacy on my way home from work and it took forever, then came home and made dinner, and by the time I was done he was so sleepy. I snuggled him a little while he slept but then put him to bed. I wanted to play and get some smiles 😢

Same here Picked him up from daycare and DH called asking if we could meet him at his aunt and uncle's so they could meet him (they only live here in the summer, but usually live in FL). So I had to share DS for an hour. By the time we got home DS was sleepy so I put him in the swing and washed bottles while he napped. And now he's in his crib for the night.

I always binge eat something when DD1 goes to bed so I don't have to share. Tonight was a tube of mini M&Ms.

DD is sick again! Like really sick! It's only been 10 ish days since she started recovering from the last bout. I'm so over having a sick kid! And with LO still waking every two hours I'm wrecked. DH and I split duties last night so he slept on the couch with DDs monitor and went to her whenever she needed someone and I stayed upstairs and dealt with LO. Not sure what I would have done without him.
In other news my left breast which had dried up has started leaking again and today I got a bit out for pumping. It wasn't a lot but given I thought I was totally out on that side I was pleased. Will go pump mad on that side to see if I can up the supply again.
Oh but, I got DH to taste it as I had issues with DD where my milk has high lipase and tastes like soap within minutes of pumping. Same problem this time so no stash for me even if I do increase the supply.
Nobody's home but me and the baby; she's been asleep for two hours and I can't sleep. FML
Ugh that blows, and I can relate! DS sneezed at 2:00 which woke me up. I finally started drifting back to sleep around 4:00, when DS decided it was a good time to wake up to nurse. Finally fell back to sleep around 5:00, and at 6:00 my alarm went off.
My SIL is about to be induced! So excited to meet this new little girl!
Yay for being an auntie again. Is this the SIL that was very vocal about having a girl?!
Haha yes, that's the one! I think confirming that it was a girl helped her move on. Though part of me thinks it's actually a boy and that they are tricking us haha!

I hope your DD feels better soon, that is so rough.
So this is a lot of work, but if you are interested in having a small stash for a night out you can always scald the milk after pumping - From Kelly Mom - " What can I do if my storage problem is due to excess lipase? Once the milk becomes sour or rancid smelling/tasting, there is no known way to salvage it. However, newly expressed milk can be stored by heating the milk to a scald to inactivate the lipase and stop the process of fat digestion. Scald the milk as soon after expression as possible.
To scald milk:
Heat milk to about 180 F (82 C), or until you see little bubbles around the edge of the pan (not to a full, rolling boil). Quickly cool and store the milk. "
LO also was doing so well, sleeping 530/6 pm - 2 am (sometimes 3) and now she's up at about 830 (pacifier only) and then every 2.5-3.5 hours.
She's been taking more frequent but shorter naps because otherwise she's just too grumpy.
Hair loss is totally normal but I want to remind everyone to make sure they're still taking vitamins because if you're low on anything it can make it worse. I stopped vitamins after DD1, mostly I just forgot to take them and never bought more, ended up crazy sick because I was b12 and folic acid deficient.
I have lost most of the weight but not in a good way, mastitis plus stress. With D, I lost it after she turned one and I got three stomach bugs in a few months.
I've lost the weight too but it's because I've had terrible digestive problems for the past 2 months. The heartburn was absolutely killing me before I started taking some serious meds! I would have rather kept the weight and stayed healthy it sucks
DS was up twice last night. I think he has some bad gas or constipation issues I feel bad because I think it was caused by our baby brezza messing up and not doing the right formula ratio. Poor guy. Now I'm super tired at my desk at work...ugh.
We've had the same problem with our Brezza not mixing properly a couple times. I make sure to clean out the gunk that builds up several times a day. We also use soy formula now and that seems to build up more than the milk based powder he was previously on.
Same problem, same solution. We switched to a gentler formula, and we have less problems, but I still check it at least twice a day for build-up.
Yea I try to clean it out often but it started doing this thing every so often where it would just spit out plain water. Or it would only make 2 oz when we said 4oz. Have you guys had that issue?

No! That's wild. Have you contacted Brezza?
No, I think I am going to today. Maybe they can send me a new one...

Would you guys take your kids to hear a VP candidate speak? One of them is coming to us in the near future. DH works at the facility he is speaking at and so we would have behind-the-scenes access. I secretely hope that access will allow me to ask a few tough questions. I think it would be cool for my kids to experience, but also worry about safety. Would you guys go?

That would be a really cool learning experience! For safety, I guess I would take into consideration the venue, but I am not sure I would let that stop me from going.
I had the opportunity to meet Tim Kaine when he was running for governor of VA. That was neat.
Bush Sr. came to my hometown back in the day. He wanted a bunch of kids to stand on the stage during his speech and one of my friends' moms was heavily involved in the local RNC, so I got to be part of it. I remember shaking his hand. As a first grader all that stuck out to me was that he smelled like cherries. That experience stuck with me. Perhaps my kids will make similar memories.
