When Obama was running for reelection in 2012, he came to speak at the building where I worked. I got to be just feet away from him and it was so cool! Then he held my coworker's baby as he was leaving and we got some great pictures.
I think my LO has her first head cold she's was coughing all night (although she did sleep well) and she's very stuffy. I've been using the snot sucker thing and plan on humidifier tonight. No fever. Any other suggestions? TIA

Baby vapor rub on the feet, then socks on over the rub
creepyeyeball I would! What a great experience. I got to see Presudent Obama when he was running in 2008, and there were snipers EVERYWHERE!! I wouldn't worry too much about safety.
My mom had an abnormal MRI. Possible MS. She being referred to a neurologist. I feel sad. I tried not to panic on the phone but I was on the inside.
I'm sorry. I hope she's ok and it's just a false alarm. Is she having symptoms indicative of MS? It's very scary when your parents get sick. My mom told me she had stage 0 breast cancer the day I got home from the hospital with the baby in March. She's fine now, but boy is it hard to deal with.

she has been having neuropathy. Her hands and arms are numb and tingly so frequently it's impacting her ability to do certain things. I know she has some other symptoms too. I am her only child and I live 1000 miles away. I feel bad I can't help much. I am glad your mom is fine now. My mom has never really been sick.
Well I just tried to dream feed LO and he totally shut me down. He clamped his lips shut when I tried to nurse him. Guess he's not hungry for once!
Is that where you feed the baby right before you go to bed? Does it help extend out your first wake up?
All it ended up doing for us was convincing LO that she needed to be fed earlier. She was sleeping 530-2 or 3ish (for a couple weeks) and then she started to eat less during the day. I was worried that she wasn't getting enough so I dream fed for two nights at about 1030 pm.
It's been a week and now she wakes up somewhere between 930-1130 (once or twice) and while she'll take the pacifier to go back down I'm sure at least part of it was me waking her up in the first place.
It did not buy me extra time. I did it because I thought she wasn't getting enough milk during the day but apparently she's just more efficient than DD1 was.
Holy cow NOW my hair is finally starting to fall out! I don't mind my hair thinning because it is insanely thick. But finding clumps of loose hair all over my shirt is so gross.
So I just found out yesterday that I'm losing my desk to a new full time staff they are hiring. So now I won't have a desk/work station. I will just have to use a laptop and find somewhere to work. I won't be near all my files to access as needed, as I'm guessing I'm losing my phone too. I have to make a lot of phone calls for my job. People have to call me and leave messages. I don't know where they are supposed to call for me now...
jags8 that sounds stupid. Have you started looking at all?
FFTC: I'm at work right now, and I'm on my phone searching for a new job haha!
Also I'm so conflicted though. I don't know if I want a FT job, because then I would have to quit nannying. And I don't want to leave the family because a) I love the kids like mad and b) I get to bring DS, which is just amazing.
@ismellbooks let's trade babies at night then! DS goes right back down, but I'M the one who tossed and turns for hours afterwards. So I may as well stay up with your babe haha!
DS is taking 3.5 hour naps at daycare, and only eating 2 times in the 8.5 to 9 hours he is there. Then he eats all night. I am so tired. I am chugging the coffee this morning.

Reverse cycling is the worst. Have you talked to daycare about getting him to eat more?
I have not yet, but I might. The problem is that when they try to give him a bottle he just smiles and coos, rather than taking the bottle. So much wasted brest milk. They have even started waiting longer to feed him, letting him fuss more, in hopes he will be more hungry, and that has not worked. This morning I did not feed him right before dropp off, so I am hoping that will force him to take an extra bottle. We will see. I hope he grows out of this, but that is probaby not the best plan of action.
I work from home while my building at work is getting renovated. So most days I stay in PJs or yoga pants and my hair is in a bun. I look like a hot mess every time I drop LO off at daycare.
I don't work and have no excuse aside from the fact that I prioritize basically everything above taking a shower, I look like a mess 98% of the time I take DD1 to school.
