I have not yet, but I might. The problem is that when they try to give him a bottle he just smiles and coos, rather than taking the bottle. So much wasted brest milk. They have even started waiting longer to feed him, letting him fuss more, in hopes he will be more hungry, and that has not worked. This morning I did not feed him right before dropp off, so I am hoping that will force him to take an extra bottle. We will see. I hope he grows out of this, but that is probaby not the best plan of action.
I'm trying to remember what daycare recommended/tried when DD did this, but that was so long ago, and she was a shit sleeper anyhow. I would definitely talk to them about it, though. Being up all night feeding can get maddening.
Yeah, when he takes longer naps than what he will sleep in any one stretch at night, I get pretty annoyed. I will talk to them, and maybe see if something like more feeding with smaller amounts, or just waking him to feed might be worth trying. Mamma wants some sleep!

Maybe they could try dream-nap feeding?
Interesting thought, I may ask them to give that a try!
Struggling at work today. DS slept so much better last night but I think I'm still adjusting to being comfortable with him being in his own room. Drinking some coffee to get through this afternoon...

I have such mixed feelings. I miss DS being near me, but I also appreciate that I can't hear his leg-thumping that he does in his sleep. That always woke me up.
You guys, kids are the best! The 6-year-old I nanny put her baby doll under her shirt, and told me it was time for the baby to come out. She said I am the Doctor and I need to cut it out. So I gave her a "c-section!" Then she pretended the baby was crying and said "milky time!" and stuck the baby doll under her shirt to nurse it!
buttercup, not on the back, but on one side I think LO's head has a flat spot because he only sleeps facing one way no matter what I do. I'm going to have to talk to the pedi about it.
My boss just tried to open the door for someone while I was pumping. I am in an empty office that I have the key to. Damn. Awkward!
Maybe it is karma for leaving the training early.
I have a door hanger I can use when I pump, I keep thinking I should hang it just in case, but I never have. It says something like "nursing mom using this room, do not disturb"
Holy cow NOW my hair is finally starting to fall out! I don't mind my hair thinning because it is insanely thick. But finding clumps of loose hair all over my shirt is so gross.
Ugh this is me! I have chunks falling out! I think I'm going to chop it all off

I think I'm going on Saturday to get my hair cut...

buttercup - a couple of people made mention that DD had a largish head at the back, with a slight flat spot. I didn't notice until they did but it's never been a problem and you can't tell at all now that she has hair (which she didn't for ages).
I never thought to question it medically to be honest. Just the shape of her head was my thought.
Is anyone a lefty here? DH amd I are not, but both my girls are. They must have gotten it from my dad. DD1 is starting formal schoolwork and I want to have supplies for her leftiness. Besides left-handed scissors, is there anything else helpful for left-handed children?
creepyeyeball DD1 is a leftie but luckily DH is too. So far, she is young enough that it hasn't been an issue. Good luck! Let me know if you find out anything strange I should know about.
Sigh. DH didn't get home until past midnight which I knew and was fine about but Dd1 was awake and LO was up every 2 or so hours. I wanted to go to game night tonight, I probably will but, I need all the coffee.

*raises hand*
Honestly, I never had any "special" left handed supplies growing up. The world is made for righties so I just learned to use whatever was around. I also learned to play several sports right handed because coaches didn't realize I was a leftie and I didn't know to question it.
I know they make left handed spiral notebooks with the spiral on the other side so you don't hurt your hand. I also have some left handed pens that are easier to write with (lefties have a hard time with ball point pens because we are "pushing" the ink instead of "pulling" it like it is meant to work). But really I would say just to let your kids adapt to "regular" items. It's much less expensive than having to get special everything your whole life, too.

Scissors are the biggest thing, because lefties like us can't physically use right handed ones. But everything else is just for convenience. I never liked the right bound spiral books, and hated left handed desks.
I didn't even know they made left handed pens. I couldn't tie my shoes until someone left handed taught me, but I never had any issue using pens. Though I would say to avoid gel type pens, because the smudge is real. Years of my life I spent with ink smudged on the side of my hand.
Wow! Maybe that's why DH had such a hard time. He was pulled out of class in Kindergarden so that he could have extra time practicing his shoes.
creepyeyeball I'm bringing this discussion over here to randoms since it doesn't really have anything to do with babies eating solids haha. What organ meat are you eating? Also what wild game do you eat? Does your DH hunt? That's one reason I love that DH is a hunter! We feast on bear, deer, goose, duck (my favorite), fish...

DH hunts and he takes my boys out too. The girls will do it when they are old enough. He hunts mostly rabbit and squirrel with the kids. He hunts deer and duck in his free time. Also loves fly-fishing. Poor guy doesn't get to do it as much as he used to. Weekends are just too busy now.
I have a hunting license too, but never get to go. Always either pregnant or with a baby.
Gross. I just noticed DS has cradle cap. Can't wait to get home to take a toothbrush to it!
LO has it too. I don't remember DD1 having it so I don't know what to do about it really.
I love duck, we used to go to a place in Denver for duck poutine and it was the greatest.
Made jalapeño watermelon margaritas for game night tonight!! So delicious but I totally don't have anywhere near enough for everyone that is going to be there. I had bought another watermelon to make more but it was totally disgusting on the inside.
