Later we're going to do a boat taxi across the river for lunch and park play with friends, then I'm helping with registration at school this evening. Hoping I have the energy for all this.
Also can someone tell me if light cramping = contractions? I was induced at 38 weeks last time and didn't experience any of the fun things I am right now. The only contractions I experienced was full on from Pitocin.

I was also induced last time, so I'm wondering the same thing. I think they need to affect the back somehow to be real contractions.

I'm in the same boat of being induced, but I've heard people say that early contractions feel like what your period cramps feel like. For me that would be my back being crampy.

I'm definitely experiencing periods of cramping. Very light and gradually goes away. I am having slight back pain but I chalk that up to sleeping like shit.
Not much. I'm at work and I have to do filing before I leave. It's hard to get motivated.
Only 8 more days of work before I'm off for a bit more than one year!
I'm jealous of only 8 more days. I'm finding it reallllly hard to get motivated to start school next week when I know I'll only be there 5 weeks or less.

They might be contractions then. We need more input, lol.

I don't know how you can get motivated. I'm so done already. I guess it's different since I've known for a while that the 19 is my last day so my lack of motivation has been building for a while, lol.

I want to believe I'm at least dilating a bit. I think with DS1 at 37 weeks I was 1cm and when I had my stress test I have having small contractions on the monitor that I couldn't even feel.
Found out this morning my nana passed overnight. She's been sick for a while (rapidly progressed dementia, hasn't known who her family was for probably a year at this point) so it's not a surprise, but I'm really sad. If I'm honest I think I'm more worried about how this is going to affect my grandfather. They've been married for 64 years and now she's gone. Hopefully this great-grandson to come gives him something new to live for.

No experience to rely on, but it sounds like they could be early contractions! Hopefully they're doing something to your cervix to help get you ready!
And OMG (sorry post whoring it up today) but the unsolicited comments I'm getting right now. Apparently I'm the size of a house. At the Irish festival on Saturday I had three people come up to talk to me about the bump. Last night a lady at the park observed "well you look miserable". LOL thanks and yes I am.

Cramping usually is what comes before true contractions. With DD I had cramping on and off for about 2 weeks before I went into labor. If they're not timetable or have any consistency, then it's just a normal "pre labor" annoyance.

From what I remember re: early contractions (I think I've blocked most memories of pre-epidural labor out, haha), it seemed like period cramps only more of a "wrap-around" feeling (like it starts at one part of your ute/belly and kind of radiates around your whole belly to your back) - but, take that with a grain of salt, it can definitely feel different for everyone. You're almost all so much further ahead of me, I can't believe people are already dilating/getting close to full term & delivery. So exciting!

I was also induced, but I feel like No. Contractions make your whole ute harden. Are they time-able?

I had a lot of this feeling around 39/40 weeks last time. My doctor equated it to a motor getting warmed up when it was trying to turn over to start but not fully started yet. Basically not real contractions but that your body is preparing. She said real contractions will have a clear start and end point and be time-able.SaveSave
I'm sleeping like ass lately and trying to wean off of using unisom. I just feel like I'm constantly awake looking at the clock waiting for it to be morning. And then morning comes and I'm exhausted.

I'm sorry for your loss LadyNymeria, you will be in my thoughts singingsea with DS I had cramping a few weeks before he came. It started earlier with this pregnancy and goes into my back. They just aren't consistent a I was dilated to a 1 so they must be doing something.
