I'll play devil's advocate here. I don't think everything should move to the private boarf. Obviously personal stuff can and should but what if someone new comes along and has a question or wants to join? We've had several people join post baby on my other BMB and if the board is dead because everything is hidden behind a password, they may not stop and post to get the help they need.
athn64 yeah I get that and I would say that's the only draw back to moving everything to the private board. However, I think having 3 different places to post is why it's been so quiet around here lately. Everything is so scattered. There may be new people who have questions or want support in the future, but they can still post in the public board or one of the other TCF boards. I'll still post either way, but I think it will help liven things up if we condense the boards and I would much rather that be in a place where privacy is somewhat more protected now that the babies are all born.

I think people aren't posting as much due to babies being here. They take a lot of your time.
I think it is a bit of both really - the babies are here and also there are now three places to keep up with. I try to check everywhere cause I'm phone addicted but I do think consolidating might help.
On a very different note DD's Baptism was this morning and it went so well! She was amazing!!! I was super nervous about the whole day but she did great and the reception was fantastic. My mom pretty much took the entire thing over (grumble grumble) but she did a wonderful job. I wish I could have actually helped a bit more, but that is a story for another day.

I don't know, there's actually a lot of activity on fb.
ETA and I don't know how to get it back here, which would be my preference, private or public.
Here's what you've missed on fb from me this week: ds2 is going through his 11/12 week growth spur/ leap and hasn't been sleeping (but he slept tonight... Hooray)! Almost everyone has purchased the fisher price sit me up floor seat thanks to j16 recommendations and we got ours yesterday. I'm still checking in over here and I tried creating some different threads besides randoms to get me more involved. I think randoms are easier on fb for me.
babyzebra I wonder that too. What if I had.... But I love my life and we chose our paths for a reason. I bet your friend questions her path sometimes too.
shoogars 4?? You go girl! I don't know if I could do 3 with a husband that travels but maybe 5 years from now. I agree about getting rid of the fat. Mama wants her body back.
I would like things more lively here as I won't join the fb group. So I'm up for moving everything to the private board. Maybe we post something here saying as such so newcomers know.
I got my ass to the gym this morning. I'm down 2 pounds. Still a bit to go but seeing the scale drop even a pound makes me happy. Dh has said multiple times he can see the weight come off. I think I enjoyed alone time and my music the most this morning. I should've brought a coffee and life would've been perfect.
I can't remember from my first pp how long it took for my stomach to shrink up and get all this weight off. I run and feel like I eat healthy. I put on s dress today and am just disgusted with midsection.
bighair12, I went through 3 outfits yesterday while getting dressed because of the midsection situation. I feel like I looked better 6 weeks ago than I do now, but I'm sure I was just delusional then. I want to start working out to tone things back up but I really don't know how I would find the time right now.
So I've been sort of MIA from here and the fb group. I try to pop in when I can, but the work situation has been insane. I went back on August 1 and was immediately thrown into the deep end. My boss switched departments the day I went back so a lot of her stuff is falling to me, on top of catching up after being out for 2 months, and this being the busiest I've ever seen our team in almost 3 years of working there. My return to work has not been easy.
So hi everyone! I try to comment/post when I can, but I'm definitely creeping around when I can to see what you and your little ones are up to!
bighair12 I totally hear you. Finding a dress for DD's baptism was such a struggle cause I felt so frumpy. I keep trying to remind myself that I really just had a baby (even though some days it feels like forever) and this is a slow process.
soultrane I was feeling I looked better like a month ago then now, but it was probably cause I was still wearing everything super baggy. Also hi! I'm so sorry work has been so stressful! Hopefully things calm down soon for you. That sounds so tough!

What happened to the idea that breast feeding is supposed to help you loose weight? Yeah right I have more cravings now than I did when I was pregnant.
I've felt like my midsection looked better 4 weeks ago, too. It's really frustrating. I'm about 3 lb over my pre-pregnancy weight but damn is it all redistributed. Such a big belly.
Last night was the first time I missed bedtime with the kiddos and I survived. We were at a friend's wedding, so MIL and sFIL watched them and had a fabulous time. She failed with the CDs though cause she said they kept leaking. We rarely get leaks. Oh well! It was nice to get out and have some kid-free fun.
pbandj714 I think mine got redistributed to my hips... I'm not far from pre-pregnancy weight but I can't pull any pants up! That is so nice you got to have a night out! Yay!

I still have about 30lbs to get back to pre pregnancy weight and even that was heavier than I'd like to be. I'm looking at pictures from today from a wine tasting I did with my girlfriends and I look huge! Especially compared to my slender childless friends! But I shouldn't compare and I should just keep working on it. Or embrace it.
In other news, wine tasting!! It was my first drink since October and wow! It only took about 5 small sips of wine for me to really feel it. But I had s great day and LO was great for DH while I was gone.
