A usually goes to bed 2-2.5 hours after his evening nap, which means he's usually down between 8-9. It's a crapshoot when he wakes to eat because it usually involves gas/spit up issues, so he ends up being up for at least an hour while we work through that and then he takes a long "nap" before being up for the day.
We did the RNP and Baby R slept 4 hours (for the 3rd time in her life!), then 2, then 1. I don't know if it was because of the RNP or just random but I think I'll do RNP this week while DH is gone and try the crib again next week.
I'm so sorry rungirlrun ! It's seriously a form of torture. Hugs.

Do you feed your babies every time they wake up? E will often wake up 1.5 hours after I last fed him and won't eat that much so I can't imagine he's really that hungry. I'm just trying to figure out how I can get more sleep. My H is happy to rock him and give him a pacifier to save me a wake up. But everything I read says if baby wants to nurse, allow him. So I don't know what to do. I need to function to watch my toddler, but I don't want to mess up my supply/E's growth. He's terrible at taking a bottle so not ready to tackle that MOTN.

Usually if it has been less than 3 hours between wake ups, I do not offer the boob unless nothing else works. H is the first responder to wake ups because this baby has dog-like smelling abilities and roots before I even get within 6 feet of him. So H will try shushing, walking him, singing, and if it doesn't work after 20 minutes, he gets me up and I nurse. Usually he's out after that but then we deal with gas and reflux but that's a whole 'nother story.

I no longer feed with every wakeup. I know he can go longer now so If it hasn't been at least 3 hours I don't offer. He wakes up because of gas, or a lost paci, or some other discomfort and a little holding is usually enough to get him back to sleep.

I do feed her every time she wakes up because she roots like crazy. With DD1 I also fed during every night wake up and she finally started STTN consistently at 8.5 months. So maybe don't listen to me.

Thanks ladies. I fed DS1 every time he woke up at this age, but he was a little less ridiculous in wake up frequency. We are going to try my H soothing him tonight if it hasn't been long since a feed. I know I shouldn't feel guilty but I do in having my H help in the MOTN bc I'm not working. But I need to remember that I'm not working but am taking care of 2 small humans so it's not like I'm getting sleep opportunities and relaxing during the day.
