I got everything done by 11! I think that's the closest I've ever cut it. We ended up being at my mom's a lot later than planned, so we didn't watch a movie with S. But now we're relaxing and H is watching his traditional Christmas movie, Die Hard lol

I was a little more impatient last night and this morning than I wanted to be, but that's life, I suppose. In the night DH's pager (fire fighter) went off at 4:15, so he was out the door. Then I was awake worrying that it was a house fire (because who notices a business burning at 4:15 on Christmas morning??), and then DD2 was up and ready to go at 5 and I talked her into going back to bed, DD1 was up at 5:30 and I talked her into going back to bed, DH got back (it was a false alarm, thankfully, but it took them a while to check everything and make sure it wasn't a real fire) at 5:45, and then about every 5 minutes one of the girls wanted something. DD2 was so excited that she had to pee about 4 times in 2 hours. It would have been funny if we hadn't had to get up every time to help her wipe. Ah well, everyone is up and presents are opened. Now DH and I are building playmobil and lego

Merry Christmas everyone!
H and I both managed to catch some kind of stomach bug and things have been awful since about midnight here. Presents are still wrapped under the tree.
J is fine so far and my mom is going to take him to the Christmas party we will be missing. The other guests were asked and they want him so off he goes.

silverspoon - oh no! I'm so sorry. The only good thing is that J is so little that he won't mind doing Christmas tomorrow if need be. I really hope you guys feel better very soon.

silverspoon, oh no! So glad we got ours over with before Christmas this year, but we have spent many a Christmas and birthday with some sort of stomach bug or another. As NellieOleson, already said, J is so small that he doesn't care when you celebrate.
NellieOleson, yep, only 5 days until she's 1! Crazy! She's behind our other girls in terms of mobility, which is no big deal and she's totally within the norm, but it is contributing to me not feeling like she's this old. Both DDs 1+2 were walking by their first birthdays. DD3 is pulling up all over the place, but she's not even cruising yet, and she still prefers army crawling to regular crawling!
crimsonandclover that hair!!! What a babe 😍 L also got a taste of Nutella this AM. It was enjoyed. silverspoon ohhhh noooooo! Feel better soon! L is sacked out with the puppies. She was up so many times last night because still so stuffed up she couldn't breathe. I ended up sleeping on the floor with her next to me. At least she is sleeping some now.
My parents bought me 32 first edition Nancy Drew books! I'm so excited to read them. I love Nancy Drew. Now my mom and I are watching This Is US, and my dad H and S aren't playing a board game. M is wandering around playing with whatever see can get her hands on
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all had a relaxing and joyful day. dizzycooks, whatever happened with YH's work? Will he get the 2 days off? I am so upset to read about his boss. What an asshole. 14joa31, good luck with the househunting, I know that's super stressful. I'm sorry YH spilled the beans again. I hope you guys can work everything out so this doesn't keep happening. NellieOleson, ugh sorry about YH being clueless. What did he end up buying as a gift? kcrkcs, what gorgeous dogs. Love little L too. Hope YH feels better. kelltothekell huope your family is feeling better and you got your car fixed Lollipop, love This Is Us!! crimsonandclover, what a cute smile! Her hair is beautiful! Hope she doesn't catch the bug. I'd also get that new gate instead of YH improvising lol. sjames2015, how effing inconsiderate. I'm sorry YH isn't being a better teammate. silverspoon, hope you guys get better fast! Chinese always sounds good to me
Christmas Eve for us is a huge celebration at my mom's house with traditional Polish food and opening presents after dinner. In the morning I went to the store to get some groceries, then baked cookies and decorated them with DD. We went over to my mom's and I helped her with some cooking, talked and laughed with my sis a lot, and got some great gifts. Christmas morning DH and I opened presents with the kids and then went to church. After we came home, DS took a long nap (his only one) and I got to nap too. Then we went over to my mom's and talked with the IL's a bit. We had dinner and opened more gifts. Pretty low key with no major blowups, thank goodness!
This morning I took the kids to an indoor playplace and out to lunch. I had my oral surgery in the afternoon and my mouth is killing me right now. The anesthesia is starting to wear off so I need some pain meds, stat! Hope y'all had a good day
