There's nothing like being woken up at 4am to the sound of heaving, rushing out to find your dog aimed at the floor heating vent, and catching him to move him to the rug 2 seconds before he vomits goo everywhere. That would not have been a pretty clean up. My H slept through it all of course.

Not cool dog! Whenever my dog starts doing that I am throwing her out the door hopefully in time! On my 21st birthday, DH threw up in our window A/C and I didn't find it until the next day when the dog kept going behind the curtain. H had no recollection of doing it, Yuck!
Oh no tkford216 that sucks. Glad you woke up and were able to move him! I never wake up when my cat vomits and then find the little pools of puke. Gross.
Morning! Yesterday my fever refused to go down and actually got worse since starting the antibiotics. I was convinced I'd have to go in for IV antibiotics today but lo and behold I feel much better this morning. Still have yet to start on those Christmas cookies.

Oh man my friend thew up on an AC once but it wasn't ours and it was one of the big outside ones. This was also drinking related. I felt so bad for whoever owned that AC!

I hate this about cats. My mom has a cat that is such a puker and it often would be on the kitchen counter. So nasty.
Holy Moses. There's a lot of sugar in those little stonyfield yobaby yogurts. When I bought them, I was like, oh only 9g of sugar, that's good. Until I realized this morning, that's 9g in 1/4 cup. Versus 8g in an entire cup of plain Greek or something. I guess we'll go back to our massive tubs of plain Greek..
Morning! Today on the agenda is baking DS's birthday cake so I can frost it tomorrow morning. Sewing his birthday shirt. My grandma and aunt might stop by to bring his gifts and visit a bit since they can't make it tomorrow night. And then finishing cleaning, which I'm mostly good but a few odds and ends. Bathrooms I need to tackle. Fun fun.

Mine says 9g in half a cup. I'm ok with that. The worst are those yogurt melts - they are 4g in just a few melts! We never buy them but I found out V's been stealing them from a kid in daycare.

Yea, we do those. *hangs head* We really shouldn't but they're so easy for traveling since they hold up better than puffs.
We left at 8am. There's a toll booth just about halfway. I was able to get my window down to pay the toll. But then my window fell down into the door. D'oh! So I had to drive 20ish minutes with the window wide open until we reached a dealership to get the window fixed. It was -4°C. Brrr. But the window is now fixed. It only put us an hour behind schedule so we got in at noon instead of 11. Oh well.
DS slept most of the time we were in the car. And we took advantage of the new downloading feature on Netflix, so no screaming from DD.

I do mum-mums for traveling. They magically don't crumble. HOW
DS was terrible overnight but slept most of the morning. So did I. Now I need to clean up my living room and kitchen cause we have people coming over tomorrow.
Also, tomorrow night we're supposed to go to MIL's but BIL tweeted that he was throwing up this morning so now I'm not really wanting to be exposed to germs. We'll see how he's doing tomorrow i guess...

I just bought some for DD's stocking. DS ate them, not a ton, but he did. Never thought to look at the sugar content.
I thought I updated this morning but clearly I must be losing my mind. I took H to preschool this morning and then ran home and got my sister. We went to the mall because she had an eye appt, I got my eyebrows waxed while I waited. It took forever for her to finish up, I wish I would have just dropped her off and went home. S was tired and eventually fell asleep in the stroller but her nap wasn't long.
I love yogurt melts, you can pry them from my cold dead hands. S also feels the same way. I'm sure different brands/flavors have different sugar content but I honestly don't care to pay attention to that. One serving of yogurt melts is like 15 or something and she only has like 5-10 in one sitting anyways.

Anytime we've done mum mums they end up eeeeeverywhere. I don't understand how people say they're not messy. This kid, the one who generally remains almost pristine while eating, somehow finds a way to get mum mums on everything and himself.
I think it's time I need to step it up and find some friends down here. Mom friends who want to get away from the house sometimes.
I was complaining that I never have time to accomplish all that I need to do while home with the kid. So my H took him out to run errands this afternoon. So I could clean the house uninterrupted. Great. But then I started doing dishes and had a mini meltdown. This is my "me time." This is it. Forever. I realized I have not been out away from my mom duties or house duties in ten months, except for the few date nights with my H and the one time I did bridal things with my bff. I haven't had any fun times just me or me and some friends.. in ten months. It's horseshit. I need friends (all mine are back home two hours away) and a local babysitter. Time to stop crying and put my big girl pants on.
Motherhood.
Eta. I guess it's been longer than that because it's not like I was out on the town at 9million months pregnant either.

They may vary by kind, but our yogurt melts are 4gms sugar in 32 melts. She maaaaybe eats 10. I'm okay with that. Side note, my phone correct "vary" to "vag". Wtf, lol. Is that a word I use so often?!?
Hi! Horror stories of pet puke make me glad we don't have animals.
We have the first of FOUR Christmas dinners with the ILs tonight. 4. Why?
Wait wait. Four dinners all with the same people?! Why??!!!
The 4thdinner will have 2 more people, but the other 3 are all repeats, just each dinner at a different house or restaurant. I think I'm already out of things to say.

I'm right there with you. Occasionally DH takes the baby to his parents for a few hours and I always use that time to clean my bathroom or mop floors. I told myself that I would take advantage of my lunch break and meet friends for lunch since I can't really go out in the evening, but I end up working through lunch almost every day because I absolutely can't stay at the office late. None of my friends live near me. It is really lonely being a mom.

We do yogurt melts too, but it too often. They're so gross to me. I used them to keep him happy while we were out with my work team for lunch today. He loves them.
So I got the offer for the new position, the raise is ok, it's definitely not what I was led to believe which sucks, but it's still good. I have to return a week early but that's ok. So I was able to tell my team, and they all seemed happy for me, but disappointed I wasn't coming back. My old boss said he was upset because he just told the manager "there's only one alpha male in this department and she's on Maternity leave " he was telling him how good I am at being the only female and not putting up with shit. Oh well! Lol
Married 10/10/10! TTC Baby #1 since April 2014 BFP Oct 16 - EP terminated Nov 6 2014 Off the Bench January 2015! BFP #2 June 1 2015 - EDD Feb 12 2016! Baby Boy born 15th February 2016!

Congratulations! Sorry the pay isn't what you thought it would be, but any raise is nice.

Oh jeez. I think they should cut one or two of those 3 redundant meals...

Congratulations!! I'm sorry the pay isn't as high as you assumed but as long as you're still happy with the salary and the team is good, I think you scored!
She's acting ok for the most part today. DH took her in last night and they didn't seem to concerned. Part of me feels like she is dehydrated or getting there so I am trying to push fluids.
