Am I the only one who is attempting to make it to midnight with atheist kids? We will be at my sister's.
I'm not sure what you were going for, but this cracked me up. Unless staying up with atheist kids is different than with really religious kids. I admit, I wouldn't know.
Atheist kids don't have to be up for church in the morning so they can stay up.
lfigge our PBK pack has held up really well, I think you'll be happy with the quality. Obviously it's not hauling books or really being abused but it looks brand new after two years.
JoeLies I don't think I used the Zarbees til B was around 14 months or so; he actually didn't get his first true cold til then. I wasn't aware of any age restrictions but it might not hurt to look into the agave version @guster suggested. Our pedi told us the same thing about Benadryl at some point, and it does the trick and helps him/everybody sleep

Our get together being cancelled turns out to be amazing. I've been sipping on tasty drinks (milkshake stout currently) will in my pjs. I have zero plans of getting out of them today. Trying to organize/clean, but my house still looks the same...

I'm wearing maternity leggings, which may not be well-fitting, but they are comfy. Bet I looked hot playing outside with Colin after lunch with pink socks and my running shoes paired with them.
Ok, so I ended up ordering one of each of the backpacks. Lol. I will use the small one for when we are out and about for diapers and wipes or toys. And the bigger one for day care. But now I wish I would have checked out the LL Bean ones too.
You're going to want to send the small one back once you see it. We have the Pre K one we got 2 Christmases (is that even a word? Lol) ago and now it won't fit much. We put a change of clothes and snacks in it. It fits his size perfectly, so when I get the bigger one, he'll probably still use it just for hauling toys and maybe his kindle around when we're out. I will have to check out the LL bean before I buy the next one.

Hi! It's been a lazy day here. We were busy yesterday and stayed out later than I expected. By the time we made it home, I wasn't feeling well and crashed. It's rainy and making me want to veg all day. I need to go get my grandma out of the house at some point, and I also need another snoball before we leave tomorrow. It was soooo good the other day that I could have eaten two.
Nothing planned for tonight but fireworks with M. Hope everyone has a good New Years Eve!

Sorry for being a PW...
One of the reasons I haven't left the house is because I only have 2 pairs of jeans left in my suitcase. All my leggings are now in the dryer. I need soft pants today. #ComfortOverEverything
I'll have to see if we can find that agave version of Zarbee's. We used it before and liked it, but quit because it has honey. Now we use Hyland's for Dude and I've been happy with that. Adding Bee Free Honee to his tea seems to help also.
@surelycantbesrs, Hope M is feeling better soon, that sounds miserable!
He's about the same, thanks for asking. Glad he didn't get any worse. Nobody slept last night (except Atticus, and naturally it was one of the few times in his life he slept until almost 9. What a cruel joke).

My kids are being so whiny and sensitive and now MH wants to get dressed up and do a mini wine tasting at home after they go to bed. Wine, yes. Dressed up, no. Zero desire to get out of these pjs.
We all know what would happen right? I'd hire the nanny for, say 3 nights a week and Miss J would be a complete darling. So I'd be paying someone to sit on my couch and watch tv.
cagoldi Oh it's doable in the budget for sure. It'd come out of the account labeled 'shit, something bad happened'.

wedding how's your lip? Do you get cold sores at all? They could be fever blisters on your lip. Related to cold sores, doesn't involve fevers. The first time I got one my lip blew up to an insane size. I use zalactin on them, which I get at Target. Don't mess with it if that is what it is, they spread very easily.

Just bring out the high chair and coffee pot and he'll be so distracted he'll forget
Omg this made me crack up! It's true. There could be a giant pile of dirty dishes and garbage on the counter and he'd just be focused on the damn high chair and coffee pot!

Apparently Pete has been letting Dude listen to Metallica because he keeps going around the house yelling at everyone, including the cat, to "SPIT OUT THE BONE!"
kim22, my assholes (not a typo) could probably make it to midnight without much of an issue. I know Maddie could, Cass would probably pass out on the couch at some point. It's me that can't make it.
If I were home, I would not make it but being out I will. I have been spoiled by sleeping until 8 all week. 5:15 is going to come fast Tuesday morning.

And set the table with crappy paper napkins and mismatched dishes
lfigge - preschool bag is tiny. I have the small and it fits just what I need for day care with nothing extra. I sort of wish I had gotten a bigger one.
vinolove- I missed your posts but from context I gather you're struggling with nights. I'm with you 100% . It's just starting to get a little easier now.
kim22 athiest kids might be the funniest thing I've read in a while. But hell no. I already have a baby that fights sleep. I'm putting the 3 year old to sleep on schedule.
DH just left to get our take-out and Bradley is with my parents and sister for the night. The house is so quiet...I haven't heard, "Watch this, mama!" in over 2 hours
Meanwhile, Caroline and I are both on our third outfits of the day, and she has officially switched to size 2 diapers.
