Got my hair colored/styled this weekend. Got rid of my old highlights and multi-brass tones to a chocolate brown. Love it! My DD went with me and got her hair trimmed and then braided and glittered!
Got all the way to the parking garage and felt so sick I turned around to work from home. I'm hoping it's just morning sickness and not the stomach bug that's going around.
I'd love call in sick, but I have to save up as much time off as possible for ML.

I do not miss morning sickness. Hoping that's all it is. Feel better.
lgsdesigner, how fun! I very much look forward to having special days with W like that. Every now and then we'll do a fun day- like going to the park or beach and a special cupcake or packed lunch by the lake, but it will be even better when she knows what's going on and help me come up with ideas for our days.
Also, love the new color. Very nice for this season.

linny12 - Thank you! Yes-- having girl time with DD is very special. She was so happy. I love playing dress up with her, getting nails done and doing makeup and hair. And now that she's 5, I can take her to bigger things like "Disney on Ice."
DH is home today so I was able to shower in the morning. That was nice. We're taking M to open gym in a while.
What is open gym like for a toddler? I've been interested in taking Eli but unsure what it entailed.
So they're at our county rec centers. They just open up a gym and you can get out tunnels and tents and ride on toys and balls, etc for your kid. They run and play with all the shit. It's kind of the best.
My tula came last week. W loves the back carry. She yells "Yah! Yah!" like she's riding a horse, haha.
I am so excited for you! Haha. Which one did you get? Some of the new mesh ones that have come out recently are amazing. Next baby I'm definitely investing in a mesh one

that's how our open gym is too. It's amazing, but instead of wiping N out and getting a good nap out of her, it gets her all revved up and excited and then can't sleep 🙄

We go to open gym every week. They have slides, tunnels, balls, ride on toys...pretty much anything you can think of for toddlers to play in or on. Ours is for 2 hours and it's great! It's also a nice change from the library programs.
I finally called EI for N's speech... the ped said at her 18 m apt that he wasn't worried and that she was right on track, but that if I was still worried in 2-3 months then to call. It's been 2 months and she's shown little to no improvement. She will find new words, use them a handful of times, and then completely forget about them. She no longer says more, milk, up, down, nigh-nigh, hi... she still has all her animal sounds and has actually found more animal sounds... and she's been getting more and more frustrated by her inability to talk. So I called. I'm excited and really hopeful that they'll help her find some words!

I got the lunabright print. I was thinking about a mesh but I bought during the 30% off Sale and the mesh ones I liked were all sold out, same with a lot of the prints I liked, but I still like what I got.

ooo that's pretty. Good choice! The regular really isn't that hot, and honestly with a newborn in July, you'll have to use the infant insert anyway which will defeat the purpose of the mesh. So I think you're still good with the regular
amylee545, I'm thinking I may have to call for W too. Her pedi was slightly concerned but wanted to give her time. She's making some new noises, and has said new "words" but she'll say it a few times then forgets them.
Pairing that with the limping and falling and I'm worried something is up, but I'm quick to go to something must be wrong so I'm trying to give her time.
I know she won't have the 200-300 words by 24 months. She has maybe 7 that she says on a regular basis, most of which others wouldn't understand.

sounds like we're in a very similar place! I figured it's best to have her evaluated now, than wait too long... worst they'll say is that she doesn't qualify. Her level of frustration is what prompted me to call. If she wasn't so bothered by it, I'd prob give her another month since the ped wasn't concerned yet.
DD and DH ended up with the stomach bug over the weekend. I am terrified it will hit me on Wednesday when DH flies out, and I have to drive to Cleveland for a training.

EI is an amazing thing! I'm so glad you're excited about it.
I let ds play with play doh. He didn't even try to eat it. One of my girls attempted to eat play doh until she was 4.
My therapist suggest I get play doh for W to play with while I cook dinner so that she'd leave me alone. She won't touch it because she hates feeling like her hands are dirty, haha.
Glad your DS didn't eat it. I always had so much fun playing with play doh as a kid.

He did get really upset when it got under his nails. Who knew toddlers cared so much about being messy?
