Morning. B had a bad dream early this morning and ended up in our bed around 5. Buuut he stayed asleep til 8. Now we're hanging out in bed with C watching Blaze.
I was awake overnight with a horrible earache (related to my cold, I'm guessing). I've never had one before that I can remember. I don't know if that's what an EI feels like, but if so it was terrible...I can't imagine a child being in that much pain.

Oh, and I finally just remembered to make an appointment for dress alterations for my sisters wedding in 1.5 weeks. OOPS! Luckily they just need to shorten it, so it should be no big thing.
Crazy day yesterday. Just a normal day today. I'm finally got all the charge numbers for the re-org that happen in July so I'll be updating our billing.
Oh and I have a job interview on Friday for another company. I'll be doing a similar job, I can telecommute 99% of he time and I will be paid about 3x as much.
I think my family is better. DH went to work and I'm feeling pretty normal so far this morning. H and I are eating breakfast and S is sleeping. After we are all done I'm going to get everyone ready and head down to the Y. We've had a membership for a while and haven't taken used it yet. I'm just planning to do the elliptical for a while to see how the girls do in the childcare area.
I hope the rest of the sick ones are feeling better soon!

Well, I have a cold....or allergies....or something. If this ends up being flu or strep someone is going to pay for my dr. bill! Right now I'm just a bit run down and congested, but my eyes are itchy, which makes me wonder if its just allergies. Its raining like crazy, which is usually what sets them off. I guess I'll just wait and see. I'll take a claritin tonight to see if it helps at all. I meant to take one this morning, but mh was acting dumb about routines and messed up the morning. I swear he does it on purpose so that I'll stop asking him to do things.

Hello friends. Sorry, I need to PNR because I am swamped at work this morning. I will check back later. I have pics though, so will post in the Wed pic thread if there is one. I also had some Casi Cielo brew at sbux this morning and let me tell you, it is divine (and I am not a drip coffee drinker normally). Have a beautiful day!
I'm sick now. And I'm really over comments from people (not you guys) saying things like: your kids are always sick! Like there must me something wrong with my kids. I feel bad enough as it is that I can't keep them healthy, I really don't need family and friends making me feel like there is something wrong with them/us.
Yes - this is so annoying. My kids' status quo in the winter is snotty noses. Meanwhile my family is all "give those babies something - give them cough syrup/benadryl/(insert whatever medication here)." No - every little sniffle does not warrant breaking out the meds. They try to make me feel like I am one of those anti-vaxers who refuse to treat my kids. Sometimes a snotty nose is just that.
Dude said he didn't feel well enough to go to school. So I'm letting him stay home even though I think he's playing me. He has a cough and runny nose, but nothing that warrants SAH. He also told me he threw up in his bed and his blankets were all dirty. That was a lie.

that's ridiculous! Kids get sick, and this winter has been brutal! Just look at this board... at any given time I feel like half the kids are sick or have a cold.
Don't let anyone make you feel that way!!!! Unless you are walking up to strangers who are sneezing and rubbing your kids' faces in theirs, I don't think you are doing anything to cause them getting sick!

LOL I keep trying to explain the concept of "the boy who cried wolf" to S. He keeps telling me he has a tummy ache, with no evidence to point to a tummy ache (ie he's eating fine, high energy, etc). We's had a cold, basically since the summer that comes and goes and when it's at its peak he's coughing a lot. I think he might equate coughing with a tummy ache? Lots of kids in his class had the stomach bug and threw up at school so maybe he doesn't get it... not sure.
But I keep telling him, if you keep telling me you have a tummy ache when you don't, I won't believe you when you really need help for a tummy ache. I think the concept escapes him.

Also, co-irker doesn't wash her hands after she pees. She grabs a paper towel to open the door. So, her nasty hands touch everything but the doorknob. UGH
About to go sit with my friend's little girl in the car because she's pregnant and spotting. I'm so worried for her, this is my friend that had a pregnancy loss this summer 😔

So she isn't forgetting it, just deliberately not doing it...? 🤔

73jewels, C totally always tells me he's sick or his stomach hurts. It's always if someone else is sick or if L goes to the doctor. He's always so jealous when she gets to go to the doctor and not him, even if he sees her get shots!
kamakaziartist that is so exciting! Prayers for everyone.
73jewels could he be hungry instead of sick when he says that?
I honestly don't think so. He'll say it at every different time. Sometimes halfway though eating dinner. Sometimes immediately after he's finished eating. Almost never at a time when I legimitally think he might be hungry (like in the morning).
I really think he's just heard a lot of people say it and get a ton of attention so he's saying it to get the attention.
Kama - lol that she doesn't want door germs, but her germs are fine?
guster um, devos is terrifying. You and I are way more qualified with actual teaching experience (you more so than me)...We just arent billionaires, the most important part apparently. My friend is vetting a different candidate in the Senate and says everything is as bad if not worse than we feared:(
wineallthetime,S loves going to the doctor too. We have our first dentist appointment next week and he's so excited for it. I hope he keeps that excitement when he's there
So I ended up on the phone with my brother and sister for almost an hour yesterday while I was at work. It was suppose to be a quick call about our mom's 60th birthday weekend but ended up taking forever. It was just me and the boss in the office and he made a comment to the office manager this morning before I was in about it. Ooops. I don't usually make personal phone calls, but I was still doing work on the computer while talking. He hasn't said anything to me but the guilt is eating away at me. I made it a whole 2.5 hours without TCF this morning to ease my guilt but couldn't take it anymore.
