We might get Max home tomorrow!!! It could be Tuesday though, because his doctor doesn't like discharging late at night. I'll be staying at the hospital again tonight.
You ever want some perspective, imagine nursing your slightly skinny baby while they're stabilizing and preparing for transport a 23-weeker to go to the more intensive NICU. My heart just hurts thinking of that tiny, tiny little being in that bed.
That's great news!! Hoping he continues to do well and he gets to go home tomorrow!!
When S was in the NICU I had to wait to see her, because they were transporting a preemie to a higher level NICU. It was heartbreaking to see and I could only imagine what their parents were going through. S always seemed to be doing good for how early she came. We were extremely lucky.
1st BFP: 07/24/2014 Due: 04/08/2015 MC: 08/31/2014 2nd BFP 10/22/2014 Due: 07/06/2015 Surprise preemie born 4/25/2015 at 29 weeks and 5 days My Rainbow is Here!
He's got about 45 minutes left, and then I don't know if I'll be able to post right away because the NICU is a phone dead zone. But I promise I'll update either way, when I can.
