Yes! Best type of long weekend - DH and the kids have school on Monday, but I'm off!
Tomorrow I'm driving with MIL to a baby shower for SIL. It's 2+ hours each way. Fingers crossed it doesn't suck too much. I did make a cute quilt for the baby, so I'm excited about that. This will be my first niece/nephew!
Sunday we're taking the girls to see a play at the high school.
Monday I'm either spending the day quilting with MIL, or I'm guest teaching a class at DH's school. The dance teacher wants me to come in and do a quick "guest artist" deal for her world dance class, but not sure if it's happening next week or later in the semester. If it's Monday, I need to get my butt in gear on Sunday and prep some choreography to teach.
Half day of school this am. Last day of extra subbing. Professional development this afternoon.
DH and I have a wedding to go to today....at 4 pm. Can we talk about this? Who the heck gets married at 4 pm on a Friday?!?!?!?! DH car is in the shop. He had to bring me to work, we did DC drop off on the way. He has to pick me up at 2:15, I have to take him to to pick up his car, pick up kids, meet the babysitter at the house at 3, and then I am going to have like 15 minutes to get dressed before we have to leave.
Also we leave for two nights at Ft. Wilderness in the morning and zero things are packed. We have a cabin, but still. Ahhhh
Since I unexpectedly had my gallbladder removed yesterday, most of my plans are on hold. Dh and DS are going to a hunting convention a couple of hours away tommorrow. Dd and I were supposed to go and visit the mall next door, but I do believe I will be on the couch. Sunday, I hope we can drop the kids off at a bday party at the ice rink, and Dh and I can walk around a nearby neighborhood. The doc says I need to get moving as soon as I can.
@becominggold, My BIL did a Friday wedding. It was cheaper and easier for them. Half our family missed the ceremony because they live on the other side of a city and got stuck in rush hour traffic.
I think it's going to be a chore kind of weekend; we don't want to go too far from home considering how sick poor Bud was earlier this week. Need to do some yard cleanup, take down our Christmas lights, put up new curtain rods. I'm working on a sewing project for my Mom - she asked for a new "travel set" which to her means a small and a large drawstring bag (one for toiletries, one for dirty laundry). The last set I made her is 20 years old, so I'm upgrading her. Will probably make cookies with the little guy - we were supposed to last weekend but didn't because sick.

@becominggold, I've seen more weddings on Fridays because of venue costs. We usually aren't able to go. I remember suggesting a Friday or Sunday wedding to H and he was like lolno, my family won't come unless it is on a Saturday.

No long weekend for us, alas. Saturday H is planning to catch up on some work-work and has promised to complete a small repair on the patio. I'll either take the kids to visit my parents or go do something with them. Sunday we are going to Disney in the afternoon for a dinner with one of H's clients who is in from out of town and his family. They're nice people so I'm looking forward to that.

We have a lot going on this weekend so I'm glad I have Monday off to catch-up. For the first time ever, I mapped out my weekend. I've been feeling like my weekends are getting away from me recently. I need downtime but I also need to get things done so I've written down what I want to do, what I need to do and what we have scheduled.
We will see how it goes because it's going to be in the 60's here in Chicagoland the entire weekend. I'm giddy!
On Saturday, ds has a basketball game, my dd is going to a babysitting class and then my dh and I have a fundraiser that night and she'll be watching ds. Sunday we have a birthday party. I also plan to clean out my car which should take me a couple of hours. Ugh.
This afternoon I have a 2nd round interview at a company. I'm on the fence about them and will probably post more after the interview. It's also parents' night out at daycare. I signed the boys up and if I get back from the interviews at a decent time DH and I will go to a bar for dinner.
No real weekend plans, yet. DH doesn't really do plans.
Daycare is closed on Monday. Much to my annoyance, DH finally booked his west coast trip for early Monday through late Thursday next week. I'll probably take the boys over to visit my parents on Monday.

I don't mind the Friday so much as the 4pm. Six or seven would have been much more doable.
No long weekend here. We go from mid January through May without a day off. Yet at the end of the year we have labor day, veterans day, thanksgiving, Christmas and new years and then Martin Luther King day. I feel like the holidays should be spread out a little more or just give us more holidays.
DH just got back from traveling and we don't have the older boys this weekend so we are going to attempt potty training. See how he takes to it.
There's a tea party at my daughter's daycare this morning, so I'm going to drop in on that since I'm WFH nearby. It should be pretty cute.
I'm hoping to meet a friend's new baby at some point this weekend. Also have plans to drink with a girlfriend I haven't seen in ages on Sunday night...I am pretty excited about that.
No long weekend here. My parents are taking DD tonight since they are watching my 9 year old niece tonight. So the girls will have a sleepover party with my parents and hopefully go to sleep at a reasonable hour. Tomorrow, DD has a softball clinic in the morning and DS has toddler gymnastics in the early afternoon. Then DH and I are taking my 17 year old nephew out for his birthday to a pizza place that he wants to go to. We'll meet up with my parents and my brother and SIL at my parents house after for some cake. Right now, there are no plans for Sunday. I may do a little work from home to prep for my impending maternity leave (only 4 weeks to go!). Then DH and I really need to get DS's new big boy room finished so we can use his old room for the new baby. I think all that's left is putting in some sort of closet organizer.

I'm going to be spending the weekend trying to not have a baby lol. I really don't think I will, but babies do what babies want. As for real plans... Tonight: I'm hoping DS and I will go on a date to Target and dinner. We've been gone the last 2 nights though so he may just want to chill at home. Tomorrow: Hanging out at home and then DH and I are going on a late Valentine's Day date. Sunday: pick up groceries, clean the house, be lazy hopefully. Maybe we'll install the car seat bases.
No long weekend. DD is making up a snow day on Presidents Day so at least I don't have to deal with a no school day. My birthday is tomorrow!! Looking forward to all my free Dutch Bros drinks throughout the day!! Otherwise I'm working tomorrow and have a handful of appointments (yuck) and then DD has a b-day party at the big indoor pool. I'm getting one of her friends to pick her up from my office and take her and then I will get there about halfway through. Then I believe DD and I are going out to dinner?.?.?
Sunday is my WFH day so I can also do laundry and other crap too. This is my first week working 7 days and I'm already counting down days to deadline.
Like xctsclrx, after New Years Day, my company doesn't have another holiday until labor day. I, on the other hand am finishing the 5th week of my very long weekend
I'm here waiting for the heat guy to come make my house warm again. Tomorrow, a friend is coming to visit AND cook us dinner! And then Sunday, two girlfriends are coming over to visit AND bring brunch!
The downside is that my H might have to work this weekend, thus forcing me to parent both of my babes at the same time, by myself. I'm not ready for this!

FFFC - Since I'm spending lots of days at home in my pajamas, I'm drinking a little more coffee (usually cold though, because, baby and all that). Anyway, this week, I've been making the coffee half-caff. I have not told my husband.

I have Monday off, but only because I switched my Friday off (today) to Monday. Kids want to go to DCP's house for part of the day, so I have 5-6 hours by myself to run errands and do some cleaning. And I am going to make sure my plans include either Panera or Qdoba for lunch.
We are going to an indoor waterpark tomorrow and I have nothing packed, nor do I know if the kids' swim suits will fit them. I also need to pack a gallon size Ziploc bag with all the first aid supplies in case someone gets a bad skinned knee like DS did last time (because he was running, even though I told them both 500,000 times not to run)! I think I'm not very motivated because I'm not very excited about going.

FFFC: I've been done working for about 45 minutes but haven't left to go get DS. This is not the first time I've done this, but this time I'm 35 weeks pregnant and its my 5th night solo parenting. I'm tired.
DH and I just got back from picking my car up at the mechanic... again. I'm completely clueless about cars, and they jammed a lot of unauthorized and unnecessary charges onto the first round of repair (which was just supposed to make the car safe to drive). And the car was completely unsafe after I picked it up the other day.
So DH took it back this morning, and demanded to know why several charges had been added and why the work had been done. Then he asked who authorized it. Then he asked about the other work that they tried to shove down my throat, and to prove that it needed to be done. They couldn't. They refunded a chunk of money, made one more small repair, and now the car is fine. Such a bummer - I've been going to that garage for years without issue, and they totally tried to screw me.
So, car shopping this weekend, but with less urgency. DH is taking DD out to dinner tonight. Tomorrow DD1 has basketball at 730am, then grocery shopping, then both kids have tennis. We'll both try to get a workout in, then dinner. Sunday is car shopping. DH has to work/travel on Monday, so the girls and I will find something fun to do. It's school vacation week here, so DD1 will go to work with me 2 days next week for a day camp run by the back-up day care in my building.
My weekend just got less exciting. DS has pneumonia. But is still bouncing off the walls. He's currently beat boxing and singing some song he made up while doing it then making fire truck noises...then beat boxing....then fire truck interrupted by beat boxing....
