I went to the Dr Tues for my never-ending illness. Then Weds morning I wake up with a really red eye. I started using the antibiotic drops that the Pedi prescribed for DS1 but were never used. I was not about to go back to the Dr. Aint nobody got time for that.
I judged a mom this morning for practically throwing her kid on the bus while the kid was crying and screaming. I think the kid was mentally disabled too. I know, I don't know that mom's lyfe.
Also, my first thought was she looked like this character from Family Guy. Her tank top covered a little more of her stomach though.

Usually I'd think using someone else's prescription is flame worthy. However, when I had pink eye they told me the only way to know if it was viral or bacterial was to use the drops; if it cleared up, bacterial, if it hung around longer and needed to run its course, viral. So I rule efficient use of time and drugs on hand.

I do this too and will give DS his unused drops so I don't have to go back to the pedi. The one time I did go to the doctor for pink eye, they prescribed the exact same thing.
DH caught me lying about how much weight I've gained this pregnancy. A really close friend of mine is due 2 weeks after me and is having a hard time with how much weight she is gaining, so when she asked me, I lied and told her I gained 8 lbs more than I have. DH called me on it later and I was embarassed.

Oh yea, I pearl clutch over using someone else's prescription. Eye drops are the exception. I think they should be over the counter.
I do have suspicion that this is viral but again, ain't nobody got time to take chances.

I thought this was going to be the other way around; saying you gained less than you did. Have done.

I gained a lot quickly and have definitely plateaued. I was super nervous because with C I gained all of my weight in the last 10 weeks. So I was assuming based on my weight gain in the beginning I'd be up 40+ lbs. It's my gf first and she is having a hard time. I didn't know what to say, and then she asked me and I was ashamed to say my actual number. Every body is so different, I know as women we understand that but it's still hard to not compare.

Yes, to clarify, I would never do this with any other type of prescription either.

I just put DD in a nap with no stories or milk like we usually do and an hour earlier. She threw her lunch on the floor because "I don't like this kind" . I made her chicken and applesauce after that was what she asked for. She has been crazy today I just couldn't deal.
Last night I almost started to make dinner and DH text that he got dinner. So I didn't make anything. He brought home deli meat and cheesy hash browns for him and DD and got me sushi and a Brussel sprout side dish. He was trying to be nice but I ended up being crabby about it. It was a junk dinner for DD and the last thing I want when I don't feel good and can barely eat is sushi. I don't even know that I want to eat it today either.

I would use any rx if there was extra and I was sure of the diagnosis. May be illegal in the US because the doctors want that $$. But in many countries you can buy drugs otc.

True. Now that I'm thinking about it, I gave MH some of my Zofran. So I guess I only pearl clutch for certain prescriptions.

Yes things like zofran, back spasms, pink eye, heart burn... There's a reason allergy meds used to be rx only and now are not. All about that $$
I WFH today so that i could do laundry, clean up a little for a house showing tomorrow and because my bookclub came over last night and didn't leave until 11.40 is i was tired and didn't feel like putting on makeup and making an effort.
MH bought a $160 toaster to replace our dead one. I gave him major side eye for it but didn't insist he return it, i secretly love the fancy new toaster

Sorry ladies. I had an eye appointment and no interwebz while I was waiting.
Ipod confession is that up until last night I still had a couple of John Mayer cd's in my iTunes/ipod. I finally remembered to take the crap off of there last night after skipping over 4 of his songs on the way to my parents yesterday.
Susan0utLoud, it toasts evenly, i can lift it to check on the progress without cancelling it, it has a 'little more' function, and it's 4 slice. It's ridiculously overpriced but it's so much better than our old 2 slice $7 toaster
