I worked out again today and it felt awesome. It's just a 20 minute post partum workout I found on YouTube. It's great for starting slow. Today I added some 5 pound hand weights and it made it the perfect amount of challenging.
Also, I picked DS1 up from daycare today and on she we got in the car he said, "hey mom, because your hair was messed up I thought you were mim." Bravo for insulting me and your grandma (mim) simultaneously. Mental note, letting my hair air dry wavey is apparently a bad look. (Please exhaust the lack of make up, I look disgusting).

@monicagellar - You look great! I met with a NICU nurse today and didn't bother to get dressed. Well, actually it's worst than that - I got dressed, dropped J off at school, came back home and put my pjs back on, then met with a NICU nurse... That sounds bad typing it out...

nomnom I'm sorry about you SS's situation. Addiction is so hard.
littleredfish I can't imagine what you go through as a military family. I hope everything works out for your family.
oldbaylover1024 my DD has been like that too since the baby was born. I feel your pain. Actually today she had a really good day for the first time. Hope it sticks.

wildflower810 yayyy!!!! Baby! Congrats girl! I'm also interested what gift you ended up getting your midwife. I still need to get one! And who was it that got the MuTu system? I think I remember someone on here talking about it. DH got me the program for my bday and I'm wondering how long you wait after having baby to start it.
I'm so jealous of everyone with a wegmans. What is the Illinois equivalent of wegmans?!
nomnom That is rough. Does ss2 live with you? I hope you guys can get a break and celebrate your anniversary
shawnabm1320 I'm so glad it was just a new system! I had a similar scare today when I got my first maternity leave paycheck... at half my normal rate! I freaked and thought maybe I misunderstood our policy, but after calling they just forgot to pay me the second week. Umm, I work for a huge company. How does that happen?!?
I hope everyone has a good night of sleep tonight. The toddler put me through the wringer at bedtime (highlights included his winter coat getting thrown in the full tub and being kicked in my very full boobs) so I hope I get a reprieve with the newborn. Please sleep baby!
EmMilAlly SS2 has lived with us off and on. The last couple of times he ran through the kitchen high on heroin when I was feeding the kids. After the second time I told MH he needed to get out of the house. Since he left, he's gone seriously downhill. MH understands and agrees that SS2 is not allowed in our house unless accompanied by MH and I call the cops if he shows up otherwise. I will not have SS2 around my kids. After last night, MH and SS2 are not on speaking terms. It was a long time brewing.

zcookiemonster that's me! I started at 3 weeks postpartum. So tomorrow I will start week #2. The exercises are extremely gentle. I have the lightest of spotting only, and I figure by the time it gets tougher I should be back to normal. Only issue is the weather right now; so I'm inconsistently walking.
