rach I hope you catch a break soon. I'm sorry you're dealing with so much right now. Hugs.
@katechristine18 Yay to your H. I wish people were encouraged to take time off to figure out what they want to do. I basically had to decide my life course at 19. I had no idea what I was doing. Still don't (shhh don't tell my boss).
@katechristine18 awesome news for your H! It's sad when family isn't supportive. My dad is still bitter that I gave up on my career goal of being a meteorologist and blames my mom for letting me quit. I'm quite happy where I ended up and have climbed the ladder way quicker than I ever imagined. Although I'm not full time my ultimate "dream" job as I graduated college was to someday come back and teach at the collegiate level. And here I am.

You gotta do what makes you happy.
Exactly, and good for you for following your gut. That's pretty awesome!
I will never forget my MIL crying (literally crying) to Ryan that he was making the biggest mistake of his life, and if he drops out he will get to used to not being in school and won't go back. I remember his Dad making snide comments and putting him down in ways I have never seen a parent put their child down. It felt verbally abusive to me, but I can be a sensitive sally at times, but it was not right. Neither of them have college degrees, and I know they wanted what was best for him, but the way they showed that is particularly odd, and fucked up to me.
@katechristine18 Yes, they have a point that it is hard to go back once you "drop out" but some people just need a bit of time to figure out what they want to do. Why waste $$ and energy in school if it's not what you want to do? I can understand the concern, to a point, but that sounds awful.
Have fun! It's amazing there For Saint Patrick's day!
Noooooooooooooooooo we're trying to miss St Patrick's day there. We went 3 years ago and it was not our scene. I'm hoping everything isn't until next weekend.
I could be wrong but I know here in the city they are doing all St. Patty's day stuff this weekend. When you flying out? I land in philly around noon.

Nanny just texted: It's so windy that everyone's recycling is blowing around so we are outside chasing papers. DS2 is catching papers screaming "I made this! I didn't want to recycle it!!!"

Ugh I just noticed that my dog is covered in lice. He's been scratching more than usual for the last couple weeks and now I feel bad that I didn't see it sooner. Also, I know that dog lice doesn't transfer to people but it still makes me feel itchy all over.
I mean, at a certain point it has to be like a log flume, right?
Seriously, like they just come shooting out at that point.
There's a woman at church who has birthed 9 children so far, and she almost always has to be induced because she goes overdue. Apparently they don't always just start shooting out... 😕

Ugh, being overdue with 9 babies in your lifetime sounds like some kind of fresh hell.
Please point me in the direction of gentle sleep training for my crazy toddler. The internet is overwhelming. What did you use that was successful?
R wakes up once an hour in his crib but STTN in our bed. Could the actual crib be the problem? Is it race car bed time? (MH still talks about it all the time.)

Vroom vroom!
Just make sure you childproof the fuck out of his room!

Oh! And this is the lady who came and spoke at my Mommy and me class-- she was awesome and just by changing some stuff in Bill's diet (did you know broccoli is an anti sleep food!??) and making him take a LONGER nap, he sleeps SO much better at night.

Ah, I'd be itching for days! How hard is it to get rid of dog lice?
