Happy Birthday loves2shop4shoes . The necklace is really pretty. My fingers are still swelling too much in the day for me to go and get my mom ring. Stupid hormones.
I wanna play the baby game too!! We should be getting our newborn pics any day now but she sent me a preview!! (PDQ)
And then because this was just super cute. DD2 is obsessed with belly buttons right now, and she HAD to find her brothers last night.
Happy birthday loves2shop4shoes!! I love the necklace. I've been scoping out birthstone jewelry for like a mom's necklace/ring and there are some cute things out there--maybe for Mother's Day for me lol
My DD is 11 days old and we have our newborn pictures scheduled for Friday (she will be 13days). I am nervous that she isn't going to cooperate. Like, I worry she will scream the whole time and poop everywhere. Photographers know how to handle this stuff right? Like, they have secret tricks? We are traveling 1.5 hours to get there (because free) and I just am worried that it will be a waste of time. But it's free and I don't want to cancel it because we are not going to have this opportunity again. I am probably worrying over nothing

cosmicav DS was very awake and fussy to start. The photographer was very calm and patient. She told us she had somebody come and expect to be in and out in 30 mins which will just not happen. We were there just over 2 hours. She took her time, gave me time to nurse and burp him as needed. We chatted while I rocked him to get him to sleep for the pictures we needed him more out of it for. So, ya I think to a point a good photographer makes all the difference. Of course some things you can't change but we had a great experience and she even did some pics with all 3 kids, and that's a serious circus but she was great about it.

Hey! Newborn + toddler is keeping me busy. Trying to catch up a bit.
I have to say, this baby/postpartum/breast feeding is going so, SO much better than DS1. He's not even a full three days old and I feel like we're past the most difficult part of learning to bf. He's also sleeping reasonably at night and the last two nights I think I slept more than the first whole week with DS1. Add to that my body healing faster and me being able to do things like pee and sit normally.... maybe a third kid isn't out of the question for us. H is also stepping up like woah and doing a lot.
So yeah, let's just say I'm also not feeling the same PPD I did the first time around!

Omg these babies are so cute. Sorry I never share photos. DH and I are super weird about the kids pictures on social media or the internet. DS2 and I went on like a 4.5 mile walk since the weather is so nice. It's also part of my Lenten practice to be more active and spend intentional phone free time with the boys.
wildflower810, I'm glad things are easier for you this time around. I feel the same way - it's a night and day difference between my two kids!
H is currently making a cardboard house for F out of a big printer box. Hopefully that will buy us 15 minutes of disaster free time... I think his canines are starting to come in... good timing, right?

Was anyone given a weight lifting restriction who gave birth vaginally? I was not, so I've been lifting DS quite a bit, and I'm wondering if I overdid it a little - my lower abdominal muscles are pretty sore today.

I was told no "heavy" lifting for 1-2 weeks. I don't think they gave me a specific weight, though. I seem to recall one nurse using a full laundry basket as an example...

Yes, I was. I don't remember what it was, but I was not supposed to lift my toddler.

They told me nothing over 10lbs. Which I promptly broke since my toddler is 27lbs.

Yeah I was told "nothing heavier than your baby"....but I have the huge diastis gap thing do going on and have to wear my brace daily. But I carry and lift my 15mo several times a day, have lifted my 4yo and definitely don't wear my brace every day. Oops. I do tend to have my bleeding pick up a bit after days I'm not careful though.

They told me not to lift more than 30 lbs. This has proven to be a challenge lol as my toddler is definitely in that range
