Also tired. I overdid it yesterday, and am so sore today. I'm going to try not to lift my big kid today... Hopefully he cooperates with my plans.
Also, Clara's umbilical cord stump fell off last night. It seems pretty early for that to happen - Google says it's ok as long as it's healed in a week. Anyone have experience with this? She's only 6 days old today.
We had our first projectile poop incident this morning. We didn't even have any with DS, so that was a fun experience. Lol

So tired as well...cat got sick in between feedings while sleeping on my lap.
*loss briefly mentioned*
I actually got out of the house with grandma babysitting this morning to be moral support for my BFF who is getting an ultrasound since she is pregnant and scared with her loss history. Then a trip to BRU since it is 5 minutes away.
What I realized is getting ready now takes 3 times as long as before.

Joining the super tired club. It's one of DD1's days to be home from daycare. I think we've been creeping up on the "terrible twos" for a while. Everything is tantrum or meltdown worthy these days. Birth announcements arrived yesterday and there was a printer error that messed up a few. I contacted the business and they are going to send a new full order at no charge. Yay! Those things are expensive. Now we'll have some extras to send to non family members!

Something was in the air last night. R slept well 7-12:45 but I was solo all night so had to put K down. She didn't go to bed until closer to 9. So I lost 2 solid hours of sleep I could have gotten. After 12:45 it was a shit show. Took me over an hour to feed and settle R, once "settled" she slept all of ten quiet minutes before the grunting started. I resettled her, got about 30 minutes of sleep then woke up to her coughing/choking on nothing. Brought her into bed at like 2:30/3 and she was so loud. Nursed her on/off until about 5:30 when she let off a huge fart. And she fell asleep on my chest until 8. She just had a monster poop so I'm hoping she feels better. We have our 1 month pedi appointment tomorrow.
Got our newborn photoshoot back so I'm going to AW for a second.
Poof
There are so many good ones!! I ordered 3 canvases for the house, and finally ordered our birth announcements.

ellabee, how old is your DD? I feel like the temper tantrums are already getting kind of bad here, and DS is not quite 20 months. I'm a little nervous about what 2 will look like...
shawnabm1320 DD's umbilical cord stump fell off at 6 days, which surprised me because I feel like it was like 2 weeks with DS. I think it's fine as long as it doesn't look infected or smell bad or anything.
I woke up this morning and my shirt was like drenched in layers of sweat. I don't think I have ever felt quite this smelly lol. H even commented on my scent and that's how you know it's bad

DS just had a screaming, crying meltdown because H went to the bathroom and took a shower. I can see that daddy going back to work is going to be a really fun transition for us...

DD is 3 at the end of March. The tantrums lately are EPIC. I'm sure it's a combination of being 2/3 and also adjusting to having a sibling. Every time she's really bad I have to keep reminding myself that she just had a *major* life change too. Its hard when she's acting ridiculous to remember that and be generous and have patience with her. I struggle with the mom guilt because I feel like having a 2nd makes me a worse mom to my first, but it is what it is. B is 2 months now and I am finding it a tiny bit easier to give DD a little more attention (nursing sessions are now 15 minutes instead of an hour!), so there is light at the end of the tunnel I guess...

So verdict on night one of chamomile for DS, both positive and negative. He had the biggest poo of his little life (so gas clearing out definitely happened) and then went to bed at 10:30!! But then he was so happy to have all that cleared out room he proceeded to eat all night long. So maybe now that he's gotten rid of that poo back up, we can do it again tonight and just have a gas free night.
flyinghorses6 - LOVE the pics! Can't believe you've already made decisions one ones to order! I've gone they mine a few times now and so hard to decide.
O & G had good 1 week revision checks. We had some time since both babes were sleeping so DH and I stopped by the church and set their baptism date. On the way home ordered baptism invites from Amazon. They'll be here next week.
DH is home today but going to urgent care when they open. Somehow the man fell asleep walking down the stairs last night and his elbow hit one of the newell posts on our stairs and he's got a goose egg on his elbow. At least our deductible is met for the year or if he messed something up it's free. But he may be a dead man if he's out of commission to help with babes/LO1. Esp since LO1's cold has now hit me.

My sympathies to all the tired mommies out there today!
shellbell I just got back from my PP appointment and did not has to pee in a cup.
loves2shop4shoes glad you had such an awesome date night! It was suggested at my PP appointment today that DH and I get out alone together, even for a short something. We have yet to do so.
flyinghorses6 absolutely beautiful! Also, where did you get the shirt you're wearing?
We had a pretty good night here. Z went down around 11 (she is fussiest after her last bottle of the night) and actually did not have a MOTN feeding. She did get fussy around 1 or 2 but DH wouldn't let me get up, which was saintlike of him since he had to be up at 5:30 for his 24 hours at work. He held her for about a half hour and she went back down. I'm cautiously hopeful since we're hoping to cut out MOTN feedings. She then stayed down until about 5, which was perfect since we need to get into a routine of being up around 5:30 for when I go back to work.
My only concern is that this means I didn't pump in the MOTN. I'll still have the same number of pumps today, but since my output is often highest in the wee hours of the morning I'm curious what my overall output for the day will be. (Oh yeah I made the decision to exclusively pump).

littleredfish I'm going to try the tea. R has had 2 big poops today but after the grunt fest last night I'm desperate.
dancerspose I got it online from pink blush maternity...they actually have a few things I've worn not pregnant at all because no elastics at the sides so pretty easy to assume it's a regular shirt. Everything with elastic is in the bin ready for donation. I am done with ever wearing maternity clothes again it was a good pick for hiding my little pp belly

R has one of those last night because MH wouldn't let him into the bathroom to shut the toilet.

Apparently DS waited until I was gone to have a massive blowout on Grandma. *knocks on wood* I've been lucky with the diapers so far, DH and grandma seem to get the big smelly ones.
I also got to see an ultrasound pic of my friend's baby with a strong heartbeat! Squee!
