I went MIA yesterday because Z was incredibly fussy, had to be held all day, and would not nap. BUT basically no nap all day meant she slept completely through the night - from about 11 until 6!!! It was amazing!
We're supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow and I really hope so! I just want one good snow so hopefully this is it. My only concern is tha DH is working today, and if people call out tomorrow he'll get held over and not be able to come home tomorrow. Today is pretty much day 5 in a row of me being on my own so I could use the help tomorrow so we can enjoy the snow together.
Lo had a great night, but my boobs were not on board. They started leaking before she would normally even wake up. And I had to get up to pump a little when she was still sleeping.

I want snow in the worst way, don't let me down, Stella!!! DH is off so no worries about him getting to work in the snow, I'll take it!
DH took all the nighttime feedings the past 2 night so I could rest. Plans for today include writing out thank you notes for gifts that arrived after R's birth and sending my RE an e-mail with R's newborn photos.
Babes gave me an amazing night! Last evening nurse and bottle at 9, slept till 1:45, nurse & bottle, slept till 6:30!!! Lil G was making noises and Miss O was still out but woke them up because wow! We're my boobs huge and engorged! Pumped an ounce on each side to help letdown for babes. Really think I'll pump after and get something too!
Well my day started great since all the sleep I got last night! DH texted last night and they are in Madrid. Well just get LO1 to daycare and see how much snow we actually get! Woke up to maybe 2 inches but it's still snowing.
LO had a great stretch and then was up from 430-530 feeding & then from 530-630 trying to poop. He finally pooped & then went to sleep but it was time to get up for the day. So. Tired.
Made my coffee and then spilt it in my lap/chair. Monday's. We'll be making a grocery trip to Trader Joe's and then meeting DH for lunch today. Hoping that'll turn the day around.

It's my first solo day here too. It's gotten off to a rough start. MH slept through his one feeding, so I got up and nursed. He woke up an hour and a half later and I told him that S already ate and not to heat up a bottle. But he did "just in case" so I had to throw out a full 4-ounce bottle of expressed milk. I am actually in real tears over it because she was cluster feeding last night and my boobs hurt and doing an extra feeding on top of pumping might just kill me.
E shorted me an hour of sleep this morning, which I knew would happen because she only had 2.5 oz at her previous feeding. Oh well.
I got her up about an hour ago for her most recent feeding. She gobbled up 4 oz and then settled down. I put her in her crib so I could get our family room together for the day and empty the dishwasher, and she hasn't made a peep. She normally hates her crib, so good job cooperating, kiddo. Keep it up!

We're gearing up for 12-18" tomorrow. I didn't leave the house all weekend and obviously I won't tomorrow, so today is the day if I want to get out. I'm think I'm going to Barnes & Noble and testing that out as a baby-friendly destination.
crazycatlady6 FX we get some good snow! If the roads aren't too bad on Wednesday there's a free mommy and me yoga class up closer to you late morning I'm thinking of checking out if you're interested.

We are also gearing up for over a foot of snow. I am pretty indifferent about it. I'd rather nice warm spring weather; but if it's going to be this cold--it might as well snow.
R slept great; 9-1, 1-5, 5-8:30 She's sitting under her rainforest play mat right now while K watched Mickey Mouse and DH makes us breakfast. K is still limping so going to give her some Motrin and if she doesn't stop I will call the pedi. Not sure what they are going to do; but today is day 3.
My birth announcements should be here in the mail today; and canvases tomorrow. So that's exciting. That's basically all I've got.
Today is H's last day home but he might be WFH tomorrow. We'll see how bad the storm is. We watched the news last night and it looks like the winds might miss us so we might not lose power. We'll see.
I need to get LO to eat more than 2 oz at a time. She should be doing three. We can't get longer stretches at night until she gets there.

Is anyone else giving their baby a multivitamin with iron? S was prescribed one. She spits up a lot and the spit up is now orange and permanently stains her clothes, burpcloths, etc. I'm wondering if it's truly necessary.

I've been totally MIA but have been trying to LT and keep caught up. Last week I had to go back to work pretty much every day, find sitters for DS and tote DD with me. Just to come home to solo parent. I was exhausted and had family here all weekend. Complete with 3 people that came over and told me as they walked in that they were sick. Um thanks? Now I'm terrified we are all getting a cold and have snow coming. But it's our Spring Break this week so I plan on not leaving the house at all.

My first semi-solo day here as well - H works from home, so it's not like he's far if I really need him, but I'm trying to not rely on that. Toddler is currently playing in one of the kitchen drawers while I feed LO... hopefully he doesn't make too big of a mess.
We're gearing up for this storm as well. H told me he wouldn't be around much this evening because he needs to put chains on his snow plow and bring in enough firewood and coal to last us a week. We're supposed to get 12-18 inches, and it's supposed to be cold for the rest of the week, so it might be around for a while! I'm just hoping my first solo day goes ok, since it's apparently going to be literally all day...

staz - You're bottle feeding, right? Does LO fall asleep after 2 ounces, or is she full? C is a cuddler and often falls asleep during feedings if we let him. I burp him and then hold him out in front of me to finish the feeding. That way he's not all cuddled in my arms - he's extended in front of me. This boy will literally eat when he's asleep. The NICU showed us the non-cuddle trick because we thought C was full, but he'd eat another 1-2 ounces extended in front of us. Just a thought.
This morning sucked. I'm tired and DST caught up with us. J overslept, MH and I ended up sleeping on the couch by accident, and MH has been letting C sleep on him in the MOTN. So much for early sleep training.
And C exorcist style puked on me this morning.
Monday indeed...
ETA We're in the 12"-16" range for snow. Normally I'd be really excited, but J is gonna be bored to tears. We're in a blizzard range, so I'm not taking her out in a damn blizzard. I see lots of Disney movies in our future.

notagoddess or save for milk bath!! Never throw it out!!! I would have been so mad. Especially because I hate pumping.
I've got a pretty good stash going but I hope I don't regret adding pumping. I woke up leaking and engorged this morning. I got 6 oz just from the left; while R nurses from the right. I only stopped because the bottle was full.
oldbaylover1024 so much movie time...I might purchase trolls and/or finding dory

Is it a weekly class? I'm not too sure about this week since I am quite sore down there still but next week has potential.
I also saw they have a new mom group at the hospital on Monday's. I'm thinking of going next week.

H stayed up until midnight playing computer games. You bet I still woke him up at 4:30 to help with the baby when his alarm was going to go off at 5:30. I'll bet he's pretty tired today at work. Today is solo parenting day 1. I just have to make it until Wednesday when MIL gets here...
I'm letting the TV entertain the toddler and am wearing the baby. So far so good.
notagoddess, that's weird. I would not be giving a vitamin at this age. Maybe at 1 year?
Add me to the engorged club. I've been using a milk saver catcher thing on one side while nursing on the other and this morning I got a whopping FOUR ounces... I'm not sure I should be expressing that much extra, though. I want my supply to cam down and regulate, please.
